  1. They seem ok now I only use aspen for some reason . Maybe aspen does not attack the plastic like pump fuel ?

  5. Im there . Retired from full time cutting a year or so ago and had all my saws serviced with new rubber components then filled them all with aspen 4 mixed with red line at 50:1 . There was , and still is a small leak/weep from the 395 that I could always smell with pump fuel but not any more .

  10. I was using that word when I was 5 .
  11. You are less likely to " over cook it " with an 8 pin as it will increase the chain speed but not te engine speed ( in fresh air ) but when you put it in the cut it will tend to slow the engine a bit more as it a taller gearing .

  13. If you do , try it wit an 8 pin powermate . Then it WILL be a hooligan !
  14. Got the updated grey chassis pan with the strengthened mount and the new barrel shaped AV spring in the end ( as per mk2 saw ) . So no worries now .

  16. When I said "When it goes bang" I meant when it fires ......
  17. Reduces on one side but increases on the other .....but when it goes bang it evens out to a little more both sides
  18. Bought one of those about 20 years ago . Found it a faf and just use a file now . Having said that dont use a file much now as dont seem to get much burring on Sugi bars .
  19. I think a dull chain is a dull chain whatever the cutter type .
