  1. I thought the very first 365 ( just called a 365 ) and the 362 ( small mount ) shared a bottom end/crank case assembly and that it was he 365 special that used the 372 bottom end or......is my old woolly mind just making this up ! 😁
  2. Or even drive 26 seconds round to the Co-Op and arrest a drunk woman punching people and shop lifting ....Oh , no , have to " deal " with it !
  3. It is running like a champ ! 👍
  4. Do you mean 365 ? ( not 356 ) . Depends what year model you are talking about . The very early 365 ( orange top cover clips ) was a weaker saw than the 372 . The 365 Special ( grey top cover clips ) was a better saw having the bottom end of a 372 but with a smaller piston and a different carb . This was an under stressed saw and could last a long time . The more recent Xtorque 365 is pretty much identical to its 372 brother , same capacity it just has some restriction fins in the transfer covers . Remove these fins and you have a 372Xtorque . So , in theory you could buy the slightely cheaper 365Xtorque , remove the fins and have a 372 Xtorque for 365 money Hope this helps .
  5. I found with my truck that it wont do a self re gen if there is less than a quarter of a tank of fuel and if its due for a service . The injector that squirts fuel into the DPF to burn it out is disabled if there is not more than a quarter of a tank of fuel .
  6. Blue skys in every direction this morning with a nice breeze .
  7. I have been monitoring a row of 15 ash trees near me , on the river bank . There were , over the last 3 years some of them ( probably 3 or 4 ) that showed obvious signs of Chalara . The trees either side showed no problems . This year however the few that looked infected now look to be healthy and in full leaf . There is the odd dead stick but nothing like previously . Do you think these trees are " shrugging " it off and recovering ? It certainly looks that way .
  8. You make it look so romantic ! 🙂We all know it can be snot gobbeling
  9. Your not working hard enough 😄
  10. I do remember all that grief Ty
  11. Could it be just a simple blocked fuel tank breather ?
  12. And finally , finally , you may have to replant/replace .
  13. They don't like it up 'em captain Mainwaring
  14. Well yes , at 67cc it would be ...🙂
  15. What was the thought behind dropping the compression Andrew ?
  16. I thought the 560 and the 562 were the same capacity engine wise . The 562 has a larger crankshaft end and the outer bucking dawgs mountings are further apart to accommodate the 3/8ths drive but power wise I thought they were the same ?
  17. I considered red oak for a second but circular scallops ( for want of the correct term ) are much more pronounced in a red oak . Maybe Quercus Pagoda ( Cheery Oak ) ?
  18. Yes you are pretty much right . Most saws seem to come as standard with a 7 pin . All my saws are ported so , dependent on bar lenght they can run a 9,8 or standard 7 pin . For example my ported 560 with a 18" bar will pull really well with an 8 pin . my ported 372 has a 24" bar and I find it better on a 7 pin . For any given bar lenght the faster the chain speed ( 8 or 9 pin )the less torque you have . There is a sweet spot and you will find it when you cut wood . Another thing to consider is a standard chain loop will accommodate an 8 pin over a standard 7 pin but will need another driver link in it fi you go above that .
  19. Yes . I was going to offer an Oak of some description .
  20. Yes , I just watched that . WTF indeed .
  21. Bit like the saw with the bar between the legs one . That has got its long service medal !
  22. We are all gutted for you ( not that that helps ) and only mean to sympathize with your situation . You are one of many . I am sure any one who is a member on here would keep a watchful eye and be on the lookout for your chipper . Really sorry to hear about it .
  23. Its been a total shit show from the off .
