  1. @sime42 He / it won't get a notification the way you have typed it . It should be @madmaxtree
  2. No body in their right mind would want it reversed surely ? They might even pay extra for the mod !
  3. I don't feel guilty and I don't believe some of the figures quoted . One jumbo jet taking off from Gatwhick probably pollutes more than all the stoves in my village over one winter .
  4. I like the way Hawthorn has a kinda blue flame . And how Holm Oak burns a bit like coal with a glow .
  5. As above . A piece of piss to convert , mine was any way . Just one blob of weld on the rotatey handle and jobs a goodun .
  6. What is his area ? Could not find any reference in the post but good point .
  7. I see the beginnings of die back in the crown .. As you say its a right old mess with included pipe work ! I would not say its an immediate hazard but not overly pretty . Take it down and start again . At a guess I would say its highways tree .

I thought Stihl had a kind of combi file thing that did both together . I may be mistaken .
  9. I understand you wanting to get something running but if you need a saw get soething that is not rare as rocking horse poo ....
  10. FFS he is going along with it ! Give the lad a break ...The laughing icon at the end of his post ?

    Jokes???

Im gonna try some of those snake and butterfly ones !
  13. Its why birch rots relatively quickly . The bark is water proof so won't let the moisture escape . Best to split it early or de bark it .
  14. Don't discount " soft wood " most of it burns hotter than hard wood if a little quicker . Larch and leylandii are two of my favorites .
  15. There is the " invisible hand " function on a Peugeot Rifter . but a button under the dash to switch it off . It defaults to on every time you switch off though . Before I found the switch of button I was driving over the Eastliegh air port roundabout flyover when they first were doing the " smart " motorway shit . There was so much overbanding , blacked out lane markings , and new temporary lane makings it had a complete hissy fit .
  16. Granary bread , Crunchy peanut butter and sliced beef steak tomato sarnie .
  17. The only time a fixing is subject to the direction of rotation is if it is on the axis of rotation . Anything out board of this won't matter if its RH or LH thread ( as you say ! ) Same as the clutch nut on your chainsaw .
  18. The only problem with Crispi is they are " Just Stop Oil " colored 🙂

Could try the proper " square ground " files then you could still use a normal flat file for the rakers .
