I " rested " a single sided hedge cutter on my thigh just before it had stopped cutting . I have a cutter bar shaped scar on it now . I suppose this does not count .

I'm of the same thinking except the almost used up chain ( when properly sharpened ) cuts a tad faster than a new one .

No . You can buy Aspen 2 ( pink can ) which is Alkylate fuel mixed with good quality oil @ 50 : 1 . Or , you can buy Aspen 4 ( blue can ) which you can put into 4 stroke engines or , mix with your oil of choice for 2 stroke engines . I mix Aspen 4 with Red Line Racing oil a@ 50:1 just coz I have quite a lot of Red line oils here .

Also had a 441cc Victor dirt bike . I liked BSA . I always wanted a Spitfire but could not afford it at the time . Obviously a Goldie would have been the nuts . They fetch a good price now a days .

Yes its amazing the affect a neat stack has with all the " white faces " all lined up and tidy. 🙂 -
If you still require a steel toe cap I can't see that you are going to gain anything ( weight wise ) with non saw boots . Might as well keep what you have .
