  1. Had 2 batteries go last week . One of my tipper trailer and an old duff one I needed to get shot of anyway . There are some scum bags about who it seems will go to any lengths . Sorry mate . Put a strait bit of pipe in as others have said . You never know at m.o.t. time you might get away with it .
  2. Please don't hurt your head . . . . . 550/560 . Stop it with the head thing !
  3. Hi . I use Husky tools . Brushcutter 545RX Hedgecutters long 325 and single sided 325 . All stonking tools . Recomended.
  4. I understand about the heat going up the chimney but when its been alight for an hour or two all the bricks ( old clamps they are called ) that make up the surround and the chimney breast are all warm to the touch . When you come down next morning they are still warm . . I put a big old lump of holm oak os similar and it keeps in . just stir the embers i bit of smaller ash or syc and away it goes again . Can't fault it really.
  5. Here in West Sussex wall to wall sunshine 2 days running now . Everyone and his dog is going ! Hey being cut , wheat being cut , rape all off most places ........
  6. Got mine from Germany for 60 eruros took 3 days from payment to it being in my hands . I was blown away to be honest .
  7. I understand most of what you are saying . I have a plain and simple open fire with a very good draw on it . Apart from innitial light up ( a few mims) I cant tell , from the out side of the house , if its alight or not . Above the pot , on the roof I can't see smoke at all . Come indoors and there is a nice warm fire with bright yellow flame . I assume this is good .
  8. Yes and probably yes though not sure on price .
  9. Don't know what chipper you have but if its a Jenson 540A like ours then it could be the feed roller speed dial . We have ours all the way out mostly but after a few weeks it creeps back to almost shut and displays the same symtoms as yours. If you got the same just wind it all the way out again . It has a numbered dial but its just a progessive valve really . right out is fastest feed right in is stop .
  10. I have heard there are problems if you switch to and fro between aspen and normal mix . Any truth in that ?
  11. Another covert ! Orange and siver is the way forward !
  12. Its all good . Cook it gently to keep it tender . Eat it with another one and anything you fancy. Have a couple of sherberts first !
  13. I'm all for it I love sport and what a babe in the hurdles ! . What worries me is the security cockup and the ammount of dosh spent on a new shooting ground just for the games that will be dissmantled/ bulldosed at the end . Why not spend the dosh on Bisley , the queens range , and host it there ???
  14. Get him to tidy his room first . If there is any time let in the six weeks when he has done his room then get him on the drag !
  15. When they say "its knackered" do they mean the pot and piston are scored because there was not enough oil in the mix ? When you took it back did it still have mix in the tank ? If it did it can be tested to check the ratio . Sounds odd that your mate is using the same mix and his saws are o.k. You need specifics really . Its knackered is a blanket statement .
  16. You makes I fair chuckle Jon . Thanks !
  17. You mean biusness ! Not far from you near Chichester .
  18. My mate up the road ( MJ Forestry) says a bag of saw dust gives him enough hot water for a bath when he chucks one on his stove .
  19. Mmmm . Don't see em as just got to crack on . The lumps come up next morning . Itch like buggery !
  20. I had carpel tunnel syndrome in my right hand wrist . I did not think it was due to working with saws but to do with my construction . At the time ( years ago ) I was fit , strong and quite muscley . ( Sad old git now ) I have small hands and narrow joints ( knees wrists etc ) Accentuating my once physical look . The problem is There is not enough room for the tendons and nerves to pass through the wrist area ( c. p.) and when you exert ( pump up ) there is nerve compression which leads to numbness and loss of feeling . Have the opp . I did . Day surgery . In and out . Sorted . . Wish I was young and strong again !
