  1. Thasts a log splitter , I have some .
  2. I like plastic as if you catch it with the saw chain damage is nil . Probably the same goes for mag but it seems a little harder . I whack em in with the back of the axe head or a big mallet . If its small stuff I use a felling lever not wedges .
  3. Ok . Each to his own . I don't care what you watch to be honest . I like 15 a side and it suits me . I don't want to fall out with any one over it . life is too short ....
  4. I don't get many actually stuck . It does leave a few behind but not a big deal just pull em out with the rake thingy .
  5. Its put dinner on the table in the past ......
  6. Yep folds up under your coat
  7. God obviously hates you as he does me . Me and him have never got on . He did that to me when the back of the chipper fell down and its contents ( 2 big saws , climbing saw , blower , fuel and oil ) all spilled out at assorted points of the homeward trip . Found one big saw the rest went into the Bermuda bloody triangle . Hope you have better luck matey .
  8. Sorry bud . I have heard this . Apparently they use a plumbers type pipe cutter ? Silent . I think its for the scrap value . Bloody nightmare .

  10. even the longest journey begins with the first step ....
  11. My mate has a standard one and when we were coppicing some hazel a while back he picked up mine and I picked up his with out noticing and I thought there was something wrong with the saw . They are like chalk and cheese . It has way more zip than standard , cuts way quicker and and is more efficient generally . I run it with a 15" bar , full chisel .325 driven by an 8 pin powermate . Steve runs his on a narrow kerf chain so is even quicker I would think . Whatever its well worth it .
  12. If ! its all if ...if your auntie had bollox shed be you uncle ...
  13. Ask away who ever you are !
  14. Well that's it then save vermin and ducks below the mean high water mark till the..... 28th is it ?
  15. Steve ported and fettled and worked his magic on my 346 some time ago . We don't have much on at the moment and I was well pleased with the 346 ( understatement ) so I am systematical sending him all my other saws . 372 on its way followed by 390 then 395 then 3120 ( if he is willing ) Will update when the 372 comes back . Be nice to have the whole stable spuded !
  16. First choice for 9 in the lions Ben yougs or Danny Care ?
