I think one important point to note is , porting , done correctly by some one who knows their stuff ( spud - walker saw shop etc ) Makes the saw more efficient . Not just more powerful . Just my take on it .

Yea Agreed . There are some little smoking sheds up in Scotland that have been making kippers for hundreds of years and no one has died from eating them but Europe has shut them down cos they don't tick their boxes . Ridiculous . -

Horse fly or "scadd " its known as here . Luckily I don't react too badly . My wife has just bought something for the horse . She says its its only one that works . Not sure if it can be put on us but will ask her what its called later .

I think you are right bud . Mine had a new carb and hotter spark plug . . They should send all the dealers the modded parts and get em recalled and retro fitted me thinks .

I turn mine off if its going to sit for more than a couple of mins . Mine hot starts no problem . Taking the spark screen out is the basic minimum !

No not as such , do a few loads for friends thats all .. This year got a lot of branchy bits that did not put through the chipper . Just want to minimize work really ..
