  1. Sorry you are suffering bud . Hope you recover quickly . As an aside I presume you have , at one time , been hit in the seed sack by a cricket bat to enable you to draw the comparison ?

  5. Are you fair skinned ? My wife is like chalk and I am like a bit of old leather at this time of year . When we go out to the horse she gets half eaten and they don't even look at me . I think it can be down to your complexion / skin colour as to how appetizing you seem ......

  9. Thats the one . You cant better it in my opinion . Use 3.00mm for grass and 4.00mm for bramble , nettles etc . You need a 45cc+ strimmer though . I use a Husqvarna 545RX and 55cc husky . Oregon jet fit head with no guard ....

  12. You have got loads in the locker bud . Go for it what ever . Don't make the mistake of working for someone else all yer life and end up just getting by . I am 60 years old and , ok I don't owe any one anything and I own my house but I could have done better had I gopne for it when there was nothing else to worrie about !!!!!!
  13. Thats the top and bottom of it really . There will be ( possibly ) other fire wood merchants in their new area . You godda price it like you don't want the job ( within reason ) and see what happens . I know they are good loyal customers but you are running a bizzness after all ...........
  14. Like I said . If its ever been made Randy Duncan has got it . !!!!
  15. In correct heat treatment ? Looks as though it could be from over torque on the bolts . Did you use a torque wrench to tighten ? Still could be not enough tempering back from initial hardening . If you have access to a rockwell hardness tester get them checked out to see if they are harder than spec . Harder = more brittle .

    Beech fell

I think that when people ( me included ) say why climb when you can strait fell they have accepted the fact that there are no underground pipes , sewers cables etc etc that may be damaged by a strait fell and because of the proximity of other targets that would necessitate the roping down of limbs we are all in agreement that the best option was chosen and a stella job was done .
  17. Would like to know what decided you on the Hilux over the Isuzu . Was there much in it ?
