  1. I do fancy a 150. Was going to save up for a 201 but I think I'll rebuild a 200 and get a new 150 when I can afford it. In reality, at least 50% of my aerial work could be done more comfortably with a 150.... Looks a lovely little saw. And not bad at all power wise, only just behind my tanaka which is similar cc to a 200, and that pulls a 14" bar ok if it's kept sharp....
  2. Fire bombing illegal camps seems to be the answer....
  3. A friend of mine had his quad nicked by them, he presented photographic evidence of it's location and had several witnesses come forward but the police wouldn't go in there. They asked if it was insured and gave him a crime number. They're frightened of going in there because they might not come out, or will end up dragged all through a channel 4 fly on the wall documentary by some bleeding heart liberal luvvies. Law enforcement need to grow some and get in there in my opinion.
  4. Good plan. As vehicles go they're a good investment, they hang onto their money well, especially if looked after. Just make sure you look at lots and get the best you can afford. Look beyond accessories and find a clean standard one. Leasing is only really worth doing if you can get the vat back. My last company car (BMW) was leased but if it was genuinely better for the customer than the leasing company, then leasing wouldn't exist. Stick with ownership. I opted out and bought my own car instead this time around, on a straight forward finance package, no balloon. Definitely the right thing to do and I know where I stand. If you can drive Excel then you should do yourself a spreadsheet for all the costs. Makes you realise how much we underestimate things!
  5. Looks ok to me, knots won't interfere with the top of the hitch and it looks set ok. I'd use it. How long is the cord? I've said it before jones sell 75cm beeline e2e...
  6. Just heard there's one if those wild ponies been knocked over by a lorry somewhere in the new forest. If you can get there it's Findus keepers....
  7. 3 guesses where you'd have ended up if you followed them. Bet the police won't be too quick to follow up your lead though....
  8. Not sure I follow what the company does / what your job is? The plot thickens...!
  9. Check the company registration numbers, should be on their letter heads new and old. Also check here: Failure Page [don't worry about the title, it is right!] If the registered number has changed with the name then strictly speaking you are being employed by a new company and they need to properly terminate your employment with the former, and make you redundant..... I went through something similar when the firm I work for was bought out. I went across to the new firm so did not take redundancy. Don't rush into signing this before you are 100% sure what you're getting into. As pointed out, you may be better off being self employed. What may be happening is they are trying to get staff out the door avoiding redundancy, [which is fair enough, I see this from both sides, times are hard and redundancy pay outs for some could kill a company and put everyone else out of work as well, so if they're on a knife edge, maybe it's for the greater good. Of course on the other hand, maybe it's just senior management looking out for themselves, I couldn't say]. So, the way they could be trying this is if they can move you from a decent full time contract with one company to a zero hour with another and a very limiting set of terms this may leave you with no option but to resign to enable you to earn a living, bingo, no redundancy. To me it doesn't sound so good, gut feeling without knowing all the facts is that you should probably go back and tell them you do not agree to the new contract and that you will take statutory redundancy. You will then go self employed and they can use you should they need you.
  10. I use a 75cm 8mm Beeline eye to eye in VT on 11mm aeries and it grips fine, even slowly.... I just switch the first braid from under to over....
  11. Luke. I love a Land Rover as much as the next man, if that next man has grown up with them, has to own at least 2 at any given time and wouldn't countenance even riding in a japanese pick up. HOWEVER. You can't buy squat for a grand these days, and Im not just talking about Defenders. Or early coilers. Or clapped out Discos. Or leafers. I paid £900 for my V8 Disco at the end of 2009. It was a bargain even then. And since then they seem to have steadily climbed. Defenders have always held their money so unless you happen to drop on an exception rather than the rule, you wont't have any choice before you're spending £3k, and even then it will be a bit of a nail. Land Rovers are expensive to own and run, as are most 4x4's. If you're set on a Land Rover for little money you should probably consider a Freelander 1 TD4 commercial. Still not as cheap as £1k but unlikely to have been hammered quite like it's bigger brothers, cheap to run, plenty of room in the back and good off road. The other solution is you just keep the Navara you just struggled to hold onto....
  12. Does it lock into neutral then? Always wondered that...!
  13. Don't tell him that, he'll get over excited.....
  14. Either between the swivel and krab or at the other end between the snap and the eye of the line...

    Hi guys

    Well done and good luck
  16. noooo, you fell for his cunning plan....! I'm kidding of course....
  17. I have the same but don't really like the grab & cutaway arrangement. Think I'm going to ditch it in favour of a hitch & pulley.....
  18. Boggo standard... I picked quite a few and i found this one was the most comfortable for me....
  19. So here is my new one, Savage 17 hmr, sak mod & nikko sterling scope.....
  20. Whippel type tether with a bolt through the zigzag eye would take out a bit if flop as well.....
  21. I used Go Daddy a couple of times, seemed ok, but that's just registration and hosting, you'd need to get a website made and uploaded by a 3rd party. Have you looked at that 1&1 my website thing? Not used it myself but could be ideal for what you need...?
  22. Just be careful you don't end up embarrassed Rich, there are certain instances where a Suzuki WILL leave a landy standing...! In the same way that my old man's totally stock freebie 1 left a new 90 for dead on wet grass & slippy clay, a little suki will do the same!
  23. Love it! Great little trucks!
  24. Sticky fingered little oiks will pinch anything these days.... That's just what happens when you stop pedalling and put your foot down at the lights though I suppose....!
  25. Top stuff Paul. SAWPOD is brilliant.... I'm surprised you didn't have one already! And I think you should start every new page with a classic record to listen to while catching up....! Love the orb, went to see the toxygene tour in Birmingham when they released the album. Definitely a good choice mate, enjoyed little fluffy clouds immensely!
