  1. hi gary I always struggle to tip over that end of the woods if your really stuck our yards available but we are probs 30miles away from Bolton. its there if its any use
  2. 20bhp was the most he could turn mine up before requiring bigger injectors, intercooler, turbo etc etc blah blah but just the 20bhp makes a huge diffrence for the torque!
  3. yawn.lol
  4. had our 06" 90/350 chipped to 115hp from 90hp by a mate at ford one evening. also blanked off egr valve and stuck a huge cone air filter on her. definate increase in torque and power. relatively quicker too.
  5. loose nut behind the wheel is the probable cause
  6. Not sure about Toyota Land Cruiser Amazon, cos I tink some of them could not even tow 3500kg legally Land Cruiser Amazon plated to tow 3500kgs, its one of a few that are nowadays, its what me dad had to buy to tow his larger site cabins round with as his ranger could only tow 2500kgs
  7. times are hard you should be putting a quarter of your earnings away each month into a tax account then when the time comes the money is there. you have obviously earnt the pennies for the tax man to charge you. i had same thing a few years back, since then I put little and often away, sometimes each month I put more in to cover the months when I pay less in. Either that or you have calculated your bill wrong, either way to sell kit to pay the bill isn't going the right way as its making your life harder to earn the pennies. Hope u get it all sorted tho mate, and you'll be cutting hedges again in no time sit tight and ride it out
  8. oh right don't know him we can build them to order

  13. When im paying peanuts for the tyres and getting 18months+ out of a set, why spend £££ on road tyres to get stuck on a poo in the local rec ground? read previous replies on thread re. mot
  14. bogey axles, purely for mock up and moving it round yard. wont be a road tow model .lol piped into a john deere tractor with 90l/min pump the rams cycle @ 12 seconds. will have its own pump and hydraulic tank, bought a 120l/min pump to go on it, should cycle in less than 10secs when complete, also only has a 14" stroke to keep our logs to the correct length for our "smaller" log burning customers
  15. hi Ash, Set of spacers for rear of mk6 tranny 10mm- £35.00 +free uk delivery Andi
  16. a pile on the back seat is my organised racking.lol
  17. Friend Gareth had the same issue with his, turns out to be somthing adrift with the tank vent/fuel lines, he has sorted his now, interesting to find out if stihl have rectified this issue as seems to be a common fault
  18. hi pal, -im on road probs 70% of the time, they're abit noisey but small price im willing to pay for not getting stuck! -10mm spacers, got them cut by a mate who runs a laser cutter, he has the pattern saved and can cut them again in the future for a small nominal fee. -i paid £55-£60 per tyre fitted, have the blokes number if it helps? Are you local to Manchester/Cheshire? Andi
  19. Hi James heres a picture of mine with a full load of chip on, the reason we opted for a spacer is if you get a stone/piece of wood etc between the wee gap of the sidewalls,it could well puncture or damage the tyres by rubbing, so the extra 10mm spacer gives it a tad more room because as you can see the gap is very minimal when loaded. Hope this helps bud
  20. the particular tyres we opted for have very thick sidewalls with quite large lugs on the side and when we dualled them up on the back, there was very little clearance between the tyres so opted for a 10mm spacer to be safe, plus it makes it look better for peace of mind, which i believe is half the battle with pc plod, if it doesnt look overloaded to start with then they will tend to leave you alone. I was told 8 ply is sufficent for sidewall on a 3.5tonne as 8ply tyres are normally accepted on vehicles upto 5tonnes GVW. The speed rating is "p" which i believe to be 90mph and no offense but if i dropped my tranny off a cliff loaded i doubt it would be doing that speed. As stated earlier the tyres are on the front as : -it doesnt turn too well on grass/soft ground with standard tyres -due to the taller sidewalls on the kingpin tyres, the rolling radius differs between them and road tyres on the front, hence throwing the ABS controller into a paddy. As stated earlier, been through numerous MOT's no worries and the VOSA boffins on the M56 checkpoint went over the van and came back with no problems with them so that will do me, until im told to remove them at MOT or otherwise,i will continue to run them as they considerably improve traction on verges/ grass/mud etc etc. Hope ive answered all points and let me know if you require the dealers number  Andi
  21. third that hrb536 pro roller!
  22. and what is a land rover/4x4 rated weights etc etc. exactly the same as a transit. been on 3 years, passed every mot never had any mither with mot load weights etc etc insurance knows they are on the vehicles and are declared costs no more than standard insurance. so no issues there , infact were pulled by VOSA probably 18months ago no mither there, other than a dud brake light!
  23. snowing in Macclesfield Been over the Cat n Fiddle road earlier, its down to a single track with probably 2feet of snow either side, theres a farm drive up there over 6feet deep, think the occupants have given up trying to get out and are riding it out!
