  2. i liked m larges blue firewood processor, thats the job.... apart from that i think the show was a bit small and could have had more for firewood people... but as someone said apf spoilt me for shiny stuff
  3. doubt it, origo are a disgrace, mitchells tullamore or haines in birr are2 i know near for stihl
  4. 18 foot ifor williams, chains and straps keep her lit,

  6. ideal but i assume... £$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$
  7. hilux, why have something like a hilux when you can buy an actual one!!
  8. i think the quad - dumper is the way to go for the job, as was mentioned its really 50 50 weather its worth doing or not BUT it may well be a gateway to bigger and better things for me...found an irish dealer for iron horse, ill chat him but i know it will be beyond me at the moment
  9. i meant the iron horse, perfect for the job but a bit much of an outlay at the moment
  10. was just asked about the job, im looking at it tomorrow, i know its soft ground, road access and no roads through, 15 years planted
  11. i second dent, havent seen there trailers, only pics, there other gear is excellently built! i did notice in the pics of the self drive trailer the max speed is low..... i may be wrong but it might be worth checking....
  12. an alstor would be ideal but way too much of an outlay, might hire a dumper for a day and see what kind of result i get... the horse are the job but used ones are well like rockin horse dung
  13. argo would be nice, though brutal ground clearance! ive 15 acres this job... soft ground and wet conditions are my problems here, maybe go for a tractor winch but its limited to forestry work where other machinery is versatile for contracting and landscaping
  14. brand new bearclaw tyres on a kodiak 400, any hills were a problem, the mud wasnt a big deal, wheelspin on roots was.... i was wondering were the dumpers torquey at leastone person doesnt think so!
  15. the track barrow is what im thinking, up to a ton capacity, hydraulic winch would be an easy conversion, the ground conditions here rarely leave a tractor practical, ive skidded and used loaders, diggers and stuff but i want to be able to carry all my gear in the hilux and trailer...
  16. I sold my quad a few months ago, ive some sitka thinning to do and wonder whats the best way to go about it? The quad was grand but had trouble with traction in our "damp" conditions... I am thinking about trying a small track dumper for the job... has anyone experience with 1 ton or smaller track dumpers??
  17. mine! love it.... build one yourself!!! ive high sides for it too
  18. used petrol dewalt compressor, dear but cracking little tool
  19. mine, i was thinking of a dyna body on my old truck but got this professionally built one instead.... theres a few start to finish hilux tipper builds online brilliant one on here
  20. ill see how it works out, trimming the body mightnt save that much weight, the crossmembers and stuff is where the big weight is!! more pics tomorrow... anyone happen to have a suitable winch bumper??
  21. thanks, its the job but the body is veeeery heavy!!
  22. Hilux 2.4td TIpper for sale in Cork : €1 - DoneDeal.co.uk
