  2. yeah guy says fits ford 2000 or 3000 and a customer has a 2000 sitting in a shed a long long time with lift arm problems so it may be suitable! it spools freely, other than that what can i check, the engage lever possibly if i go to buy it, the brake is seized. he says it hasnt been used in 4 or 5 years

  4. was working in ct usa, fuel was crap and had to use enzyme treatment to make it decent, the saw had no power with the good quality fuel until i did, the "gas" was 10% ethanol

I looked at a winch yesterday, it has an engage - disengage lever to the side and a brake lever to the front. the brake lever is seazed off and the engage lever isnt much better, a little movement but not free. the winch isnt dear so im wondering if its worth bringing back to life?? ive a 200o ford to fit it to
  6. quad + uphill = not great in my experience! i found a tracked dumper far better but wouldnt like a lawn much! i would definately use the walking beam system for the wheels, thus it could be illegal on the road... check out the avestawagen and the vahva jussi for ideal machinery

    couldnt tell you, theres a few fuel dealers arount use them religiously, there great trucks, id have one only i need to off road...

    no bothers, the uk has a load of nissan cabstars a bit cheaper of an alternative i think, the dyna is way more common here, they sell quick to exporters so like the hiluxes if you see one your interested in strike fast!

    they didnt sell many dynas in england cheif, theres export on all models so there getting rarer, few on donedeal now and again...

  11. on an s3 or car yeah no problem, on a commercial vehicle towing and working for prolonged periods give me the bigger engine not working as hard any day..... i see the new bluemotion cars with there amount of technology and think ill stick to old school as long as possible!!
  12. turbo issues, also toureg got a rear corner tip from a micra at under 20 mph and completely fecked the chassis, there trying to get too much power from too small an engine, google amarok turbo problems, 2 litre bi turbo engine in a work vehicle?
  13. i would be going with the hilux over any other pickup, it wont let you down! range rover pickup, nah, leather seats and dusty trousers and boots? i hear bad bad things about the toureg and amarok

  15. mk 4are the last of the old hiluxes, the 5 went totally overboard on "modern " stuff common rail engines and that ive had mk 3 and 4 before, ill stick with the 5 though, better fuel economy and smoother to drive! had a 02 ranger 2wd super cab, nice and did its job but it wasnt a hilux ie didnt do as good as one johnny walker

  17. youll save money if you look over here, less salt too, got my 02 d4d single cab for 3000 euro, crew cabs make similar or lower money
  18. ive a mid range stihl electric saw, there handy in towns alright though theyre not quiet, i got it for removing a tree in a town for someone who didnt want to wake there neighbour, neighbour liked the tree apparantly. havent used it much since!

  22. ill see, i suppose i was hoping to have the same reaction to the 880 as most have to the 660, its definately regarded as a tool! reading treads here about the 660 it usually brings a smile to the face!
