  3. Is it compatable with a teufelberger pulleysaver??????
  4. yeah not wrong.
  5. we practice various methods every few months. All potential rescuers should be familiar with what system the climber is operating. If your doing proper risk assesments it should be in your rescue briefing.
  6. My Airstreams are now 16 months old and although they are holding out well, they are wearing out on the soles, lining and boot tops. They have had a good innings and ive been really impressed by them but have seen the Arbortec scafell in brown leather which looks really nice and i fancy a change...i think?? Any help with how they size up against each other????
  7. sorry, i thought it said rate my minge!...dissapointed. nice hinge btw.
  8. think they must of had a dodgy batch of those plasic widgets. All my DMMs i bought recently have been fine tho.

  10. no, i use a 3mm metal clip i found on a building site that i bent into shape (a lot smaller that a caritool), mount the chainsaw to ya harness one handed and no more bouncy saw
  11. if you trust that thing with a chainsaw you are insane
  12. i bought one. the eye is stitched (i think, its shrink wrapped) and the pulley prusik is spliced as well as the retrieval clip. works really well and the workmanship looks excellent. Why did he get banned in the first place???????
  13. same happened to my friends dmm aero....he sent it back to dmm, they replaced it sent apologies, quality control shizzle and some free stuff!
  14. dont get the ones with the velcro attachment to the foot, impossible to get tight enough and come loose. i didnt feel safe in mine and sold them. and dont get the angular gaffs there useless on small stems, opt for the straight pointy ones. I have a pair of buckinghams, sturdy but uncomfortable. when they go i think id opt for the aluminium distels with leather boot strap.
  15. That double snapper looks good but i dunno weather a ball would pass through the pinto as the one i have is spliced eye to eye. maybe with some force. Just using the flip the end of yer rope over a branch below and tie a running boline onto the running side of the set up before i get down. uninstall as normal and lower off the end of yer rope. good if you have enough rope!
  16. Just spoke to the guy in the office and he says most of the calls we get originate from google. Hardly anything for check a trader!!
  17. were on check a trader, i'll ask in the office how effective its been for getting us work. Don't think we get loads off it, but its fairly cheap to get on.
  18. One of my collegues used to run the St Albans branch. He knows all the management there. drop me a PM.
  19. Three, one to change the lightbulb and two to tell him how they would of done it:laugh1:
  20. I agree, reduce it into the first regrowth and selective thinning of mirroring shoots. You could make a new frame for the crown like that. Instead of pollarding it and it regrowing just as thick as is now in a couple of years. The poor tree has had a hard life, by doing this method you keep more stored energy, keep some ablity to photosynthesize and done right should give it a more natural appearence.
  21. yeah learned all that today...ha ha. Ascending with the spiderjack is now a dream. Cant wait to use it on a big leggy plane!
  22. i was told it wont meet loler by a loler inspector as he said its service life is 5 years. He knows this as its documented in my file:sneaky2:. Shame, its still in good condition condidering the beating its had. But hey why chance it over a couple hundred quid??
  23. got mine through today, looks the mutts nuts!!
  24. Cheers, thats very helpful. They could be very usefull on sites that we work on that are sensitive to sound!!
  25. Airstream again. Mine are 15 months old and still going strong although i might have to resole them soon. Most comfy boot ive ever owned.
