  1. cool. how long did the speedline take to set up??
  2. didnt read the top post properly, forget wolfgarten if you want a 21ft!!! although they are good, strong and light enough to use while climbing especially for deadwooding and clean outs!!
  3. whichever one you get will break pretty soon, no matter how much you spend. We had a couple of the yellow silky ones which were great but one little oops moment and they are rendered useless. The most simple and robust ones we use now are the wolfgarten ones, the saw is no way near as good as the silky but they are cheap, effective and there is a plethora of attachments!
  4. they have indeed!! i dont really know why they choose to drive them around central London, a bit impractical in my eyes. Must be an absolute mare driving the one with the front mounted PTO chipper!!!
  5. definately city suburban
  6. whats the power and build quality like??
  7. yo benny, you aint using srt now are ya??? you coming back soon??
  8. my boss had one when they first came out and it lasted 9 months!!! the webbing just wore out super fast and all the gear attachmentsfell to bits. I dunno weather they changed it now but that right put me off considering its the most expensive harness on the market!
  9. now they look tasty...has anyone had a go on any of them??? i hope they dont disappoint like the 201 did as they are following the same 2014 emissions standard. That is what i think killed the power of the 201!
  10. Can you add more attachments to the bridge on the treecore??? and how is it with big saws??? first time ive seen that one, looks interesting
  11. that world of power web site says they ship in 2 -5 working days!! Gonna have to get onto my boss to get me one!
  12. Really wanna try one!!!
  13. On sale HERE in the UK NOW!!!
  14. they are on the huskie web site HERE They are being sold in the states.
  15. Will have to try the echo out. We managed to snap up the last of the sthil ms200s last year as we bought a couple of the ms201 and was very disapointed with its performance. I heard the new huskie is out in the states.....wonder when it drops here???
  16. Yeah i should of lied about how old it is, nothing wrong with it at all!!!!
  17. I just got told by my LOLER man that i need to retire my Komet Dragonfly at the next inspection as its 5yrs old. Its still fine IMO but only has 5 yr service life. Thinking of just getting another one as my boss has got through 4 harnesses in the same time (Treemotion, Abies, Austria and now a Harkie) although he has eaten all the pies!! Anyone recommend a different harness as hard wearing and technical?????
  18. yes i am.....i used to slag all that type of stuff off, until i tried it! It made all the giant plane tree clean outs we did this winter an absolute pleasure!!
  19. I got a spiderjack these days which has eliminated all that elbow pressure, i just pull up and there i stay:thumbup:
  20. i just found the lack of friction put more pressure on my right elbow in the split second before i pushed my prussik up with my left, leaving me with tennis elbow!! but maybe thats just me.
  21. and yeah dont worry too much about spelling one of the guys i work for is dyslexic as are a lot of tree surgeons i know, the industry is used to it
  22. my boss is always interested in getting the odd keen youngun in on......... cheap wages!!!
  23. i wouldnt use a pulley if you use a rope based friction knot as the lack of friction does your elbows in!! i only use one for the spiderjack. rest of the time i use a multisaver.
  24. i ordered one a few days ago, that price still beats anything else similar on the market!
  25. we have a hobbs which is sturdy as hell, GRCS is like the hobbs but has the added internal gearing system which is handy if you need to lift things a lot!! Ive used these both and as i dont need to lift stuff a lot so i would go for the hobbs as its cheaper, has less things to go wrong with it and looks and feels like it will last a lifetime.
