2. Can anyone whos had a go on one please comment on their power please, im trying to talk my firm into getting one!
3. yeah, it was him.....fat b*****d
4. isnt it just the same as tachyon???? the new england one was.
5. were not working today, no way be able to get the chippers out without a 4x4 with big knobbly tyres!!
6. If you want a durable harness dont go for a tree motion. They are a great harness comfort and technical wise but they wear quick, my boss got through one in 9 months! Ive got a Dragonfly i have to retire only because its service life (5 yrs) is up, im proberly gonna get another. Check out the Harkie harness too, someone i know loves his!
7. and i use both ends of my long rope for climbing monsters too, eye end on the SJ, blakes on the knot end so i can un clip throw that end down at any point!!
8. For small trees and messy fells, especially chogging down i use a blakes, everything else is on the SJ. Theres a time and place for it all.
9. Yeah drangonfly again methinks!! hard as nails!!
10. cheers Benny. Good to know!!!
11. Good idea, a lot of tree surgeons havnt a clue on pruning for fruit. The only reason i have a rough idea is i was taken around RHS Wisley and showed by my tutor on my RFS course. Let me know when. Would like to expand my knowledge!
12. seconded, if the cut n chuck method seems a bit dicey. Just leave a good, stripped scaffold limb over your drop zone for a nice high rigging anchor to swing it all round.
13. im x large in hi flex and large in revolution
14. i have a pair and compared to the stihl they are pretty similar, better zipped pockets, one side is armoured against exhaust burns, great movement too. Downsides are, mostly they are made of the same 'ripstop' material as the stihl that rips too easily and id say they would be hotter in summer. honey bros are selling em cheap at the mo, hence me having a pair!
15. my head has a huge overhang:laugh1:
16. my loler guy says that in his paperwork that he got from his loler course states that he can only pass CE marked splices. Do i need a more open minded loler man???
17. the only fault i noticed is the clip at the back pushes the helmit off my head when i look up. bit of a pain when grounding.
18. Do you need to do a massive course to do CE splices??? or is it just a case of shelling out loadsa money for a licence to do it?? or both??
19. Its a bit crap that a good splice wont pass LOLER without it!!! I mean people tie knots everyday!!!!!
20. Good idea, but looks like it adds a lot of bulk to the harness! would definately consider one if they managed to condense the size.
21. I got a Harkie smock that ive had well over a year now, its holding up ok but the reFlective strips are falling off. The BEST thing i own for wet weather is a STIHL wax cape a friend got me from NZ 9 years ago, it has no arms as water just runs down your sleaves anyway but it covers your shoulders, torso, neck and arse. Its hard as nails, still use it regularly!
22. Blew out this afternoons job.....sledgin' with the kids!!!.....YAY!!!
23. looks like ill be hiding it when my loler man turns up then
24. Do you know if his stuff is CE marked?? as i have ordered a pulleysaver from him. My loler man says it has to have one to pass.
25.
im good mate, been a while!! Talking about kevins toes, get this....hes got gout!!!! hahahahahaha. speak soon
