  2. Well if thats the case good no problem, but I have heard of people having to spend hours trawling through old records to try and give members of the public, pointless information under the said act.
  3. No not always but.........
  4. Well I hope you are going to do something useful with the information once you get it, or that will only use up more tax payers money for nothing.

  17. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!!
  18. Nice to see a few more posts from normal people who can look at the bigger picture. I am quite passionate about my job and I do get drawn into these arguements with the so called Council bashers who like to think they are the only ones who work hard and love to pat themselves on their backs whilst moaning about having to pay there taxes. If they actually seriously thought about some of the things they type maybe they would realise it doesnt apply to everyone. For the record I dont agree with Council tendering for private work, I think they should concentrate on doing a good and efficient job od what they already have. There have been some good points raised though- should the private sector price for council work? yes i think so, if they can do it to the same standard for a better price- maybe that would save some tax (probably to be wasted elswhere) As I have been drawn into these debates before as a Council worker, you cant blame the lads on the front line for running the country into the ground and you cant say they are all lazy good for nothings, some work hard and are passionate about there work and at the moment times are hard and uncertain for most, especially us. So before you slate the council workers just keep in mind we are reading this too, maybe your digs should be aimed more at the Government? We all pay taxes, thats life. The grass is not always greener!! never a truer saying. ( Is TRUER a word?)
  19. Yes you are right this is something i personnally have been requesting more of! There are far to many men answering the phone at the Council these days! I hate having no eye candy to look at while im drinking my brews!
  20. OK what do you want me to say?
  21. Ring her back and tell her there is no need for me to revisit you on tue as my job was completed 2 years ago and you are not prepared to do any more about it or give a refund . Tell her to take a running jump!! You have really got toughen up! There are some real A holes in this world who will try to have you over for anything, you can do without unreasonable customers like this. good luck man up
  22. COUNCILS!!!! disgusting lazy people taking everybodies work, all them overpaid lazy people, with all that machinery, just disgusting.
  23. Good job mate looks well
  24. I am another agreived at continuing costs of holding NPTC's they cost a fortune to start with now it looks like we are going to have to keep shelling out to keep them upto date! Fair points have been made about occasional users whrere a little refresher course may be of use to someone who only uses a chainsaw every couple of years and who isnt involved in the indusrty enough to keep upto speed with best practice and new techniques, but for a professional in everyday use with constant contact with the latest news I think it is another unneeded and unwanted tax that we could all do without especially at times lioke these. Matt
