  1. We used to have to wait until 0800 to use the breaker and roller etc on the road works.

  6. The post is justified as you mentioned Ancient Wood. Carry on....
  7. Id love to see one. We used to spook ourselves with stories of the Durham Panther when we were bairns. Especially hiking over the moors in the middle of the night as scouts.

  10. I used to do vehicle recovery and I had a call out in the middle of the night to remove a burnt out car. We normally waited until daylight to do burners but as it was in front of a farmers gate I had to shift it straight away. It was on Woone Lane in Clitheroe, Lancashire, and it was right in front of an abandoned mill with about a thousand windows. A massive chill came across me and I've never worked so bloody fast! I had all the lights and beacons flashing and the radio up loud for comfort. It felt like a set of eyes were watching from every window. I've never felt so scared. (probably) not ghosts though....just me being a dick!
  11. Jupiters travels is next on my list! I've got a 1980 Honda cd185 in bright orange. I'm reading Discovery Road at the moment. About cycling round the world. It's giving me some stupid ideas!

  14. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly soundtrack. The wife hates it because of all the whistling. I was on the phone to her once and she says "WHOS THAT WHISTLING IN THE BACKGROUND?" "Its the birds you miserable bastarfd!"

  17. Just practice I suppose. The first time I spiked I was in pure agony and had no skin left on my knuckles!!
  18. Yeah. First attempt at taking the top off like that on spikes. Wasn't as wobbly as the week before. Another lad had taken the top off then I went up to do the next section with the lowering kit. I was expecting some wobble but I was flung about all over. My spikes stayed in though! Caused much humour with staff and students alike.
  19. I was a little bit wobbly!
  20. I bought my mate a fridge for his birthday. You should have seen his face light up when he opened it!
  21. She'd probably cause trouble between me and the wife!
  22. She looks like she'd cause no end of trouble!
