  1. At the end of the day, it's a wood that really doesn't need to be developed, a green island in a sea of houses. If my name on the list makes a difference then you've got it. And I've never even been to Hastings, or Brighton, or Eastbourne........
  2. Could have been me! I wasn't exactly full of joy as they led me in!
  3. Yeah that's what I had. I'd have preferred a needle to the sadistic bollock twanging they gave me! Was a little like Buster Gonad and his unfeasibly large testicles afterwards!
  4. All liars!! It knacks! For about a week. It's the most bizarre situation ever! I was laughing and laughing even though it hurt. Two women at the "business" end explain that the new method of anaesthetic will feel like a little twang of an elastic band. Understatement of the century! It was like the elastic of swimming goggles, at full stretch, about 10 times, right on the ball sack!
  5. 105kg. Need to be 90kg. It's deffo the booze cos I run and ride and go to the gym etc. 6'3". How often do we "check in"?
  6. Thats serious distance! Best of luck with that, its sounds awful!! Did some mountain biking at the weekend in Grizedale forest. 16 mile saturday followed by much beer and BBQ and about 9 on sunday. I forgot how draining it is riding single track. Must get up Hamsterley more often as its only round the corner from me.
  7. It's beautiful isn't it! Even if I could find one and had the money I don't think the wife would let me because she knows I'd go away for the night and end up in Mongolia!
  8. Hey the White ones awesome too.....
  9. This is what I've got. But this is what I want.
  10. Cancelled! Are you rescheduling? I might be able to make a different weekend.
  11. Yeah, got lapped by about 5 racing snakes! Before hand I'd been chatting to the guy who finished 2nd, he'd done 32 marathons and 9 ironman triathlons!
  12. Well done mate. What was the route on that? 63 miles with no training!
  13. Oh yeah....6 hours!! It's a long time. There was 3000ft of climbing through the 3 laps. I was just happy I finished to tell you the truth. Came 83rd....out of 83!
  14. And you'll be pleased to know it hurt....A LOT....and still does!
  15. I won't even eat a Snickers! That's how much ill do another one! But ask me next week and I'll remember it with Rose tinted specs! Doing a half in august. The cross bay half! We cycling there, 80 mile, next day half marathon and 25 mile ride, next day canoeing round Windermere, next day riding home 80 mile. Things we come up with at the wrong end of a bottle of Jamesons!
  16. Thanks Mark. Much appreciated. Haven't cycled Hamsterley for years. Looks like they've made some good routes. Give me a shout when you go down next and I might try some, as long as youre not one of them downhill monsters!!
  17. All done now Mike. PAIN!!! Thanks for the sponsorship. Very generous.
  18. DONE. I'll have enjoyed it if you ask me next week! But today......
  19. 26.2! But I may never walk properly again!
  20. Thanks to everyones support so far. Last blatant request for sponsorship. Christopher Schroeter is fundraising for Parkinson?s UK I will destroy myself physically and mentally all in the name of charity! I will have to run over the beautiful Blackling Hole waterfall 3 times on a 7.5 mile lap. Even thats gonna look sh*t by the end!
