  1. Nurse Amy: What seems to be the problem? Me: I think I've got a bone in my leg! Nurse Amy: Hmmm that could get serious. Let me listen to your heart beep then drink this doctor juice!
  2. Dad can we go to the reading church? Do you mean the library son? Yes!
  3. Just overheard my 6 year old boy, "I get the honey and you get the wasp you fat lard arsed mermaid!" I have no idea what goes on inside that head!
  4. Saw these today on some Birch trees. Knobbly bits all the way up. Spheroblasts? Anyone any ideas?
  5. Are you going to put a link on to his listing so we can have a good look, and maybe asked one or two questions?
  6. I'll be listening to Megadeth at the beginning of June, live at the O2 in Newcastle, and then Iron Maiden at the end of June, live in Amsterdam. (yep, I've got a 3 day pass out!)
  7. Jason Let me know when there are some courses running like we discussed a while ago. Sadly south Yorkshire is no good to me at the moment.
  8. Back ups are definitely a must! My old Dell had the glorious blue screen of death recently so I took it down to the local computer shop. He ran his diagnostic and sucked through his teeth. Hundred and ten quid mate, and there's no guarantee I'll be able to save any of your data! My mate's brother is a computer geek and I had him take a look. Within 5 minutes he had saved all my data, fixed the problem, installed a second drive that was massive and reinstalled all the office and everything! 50 quid! He reckons because my drive was full it had started deleting the oldest files, and the oldest files are operating system or something. So now everything is backed up....TWICE!
  9. Ah ok, missed that one.
  10. So let's say you've got 25 acres of land to fill with trees. What would you do with it? What would you plant? And why?
  11. Thats fantastic. My daughter is 3 years old and Im gonna be ready for them!
  12. I've had a real close look and ive seen those markings before. That was one of them bloody chainsaws!

  14. 31! He was a lucky bugger! Thanks for your concerns. Im gonna have plenty of spare warm kit. Langdon beck, along the pennine way taking in cauldron snout and cow green dam. I used to like to ride up weardale to alston and home via teesdale.
  15. Doing a bit of hiking this weekend. Langdon beck to high cup nick (teesdale). About ten miles out, over night camp in the middle of nowhere, and then ten back. Just a tester. Looking forward to it.
  16. Hadn't been out for ages. Lost motivation then life took over. Been swimming and to the gym a few times but went out running late last night. Did a slow couple of miles to see how it felt. Been walking today. 6 mile round trip to the gym with 10 kg in my pack. That was nice! Time to get back into it. I'm 107kg at the moment. A trim 90 is my goal.
  17. zat vas yoooo!!! Donner und blitzen!
  18. 3 Tonne of hot tarmac! Just didn't see him. 3/4 of a tonne of road plate. Didn't stand a chance. Poor lad!
  19. http://www.nnfcc.co.uk/news/air-products-to-build-worlds-largest-advanced-gasification-energy-from-waste-facility I'm watching this with interest. Power and useful gases from waste that would have gone to landfill. Produces less harmful emission than burning it directly and the slag goes for road construction.
  20. Mad Max Mad Max 2 NOT Mad Max 3! Joe Dirt (but nobody else likes it!)
  21. Might as well make the most of my day off.
  22. My mat and bag are nowhere near arctic rated but they did ok. Got chilled by about 0400 so I got in my big army bag aswell. Toasty warm! The weight of the snow compromised the guys and the roof sagged a bit. But that is probably the most extreme it'll all get used. Happy!
  23. Yeeehaaaa!!
