Join and artist union, they offer p.l for sculptures up to 10m of height, about 30/40 quid a year. So cheap it's worth doing I reckon, I think aue was what I used. No good for arbwork though Sent from my C6603 using Arbtalk mobile app

I wouldn't bother with non genuine sprockets, bars etc. Saying that I have had a non genuine side cover (Inc brake band etc) of a 357 for about 4 yes now. Seen some good graft and amazingly it's still fine. Similar experience with cheap (farmertech) carbs, so cheap wasn't expecting much, but they seem to be still fine. might be me being daft but anytime i try and search for old artcles etc i always get the "too common" or no results searching for things like "sap on ropes" or "spruce sap" "ropes" etc never seems to work any searching tips anyone?

i have found all the spouts break in time and now use an oil spout for my fuel and lasts well

i tried a 10'' for pruning, which was ok, and have used an 8 for carving, honestly can't imagine bothering getting 8'' bar of climbing, now running a 12'' ms150 chain which cuts faster than the 10'' 3/8p i had on

i have the 420 (makita equivalent) and its is good, very pokey, maybs a bit heavier than you would think but very good snedding saw. obviously stuggles a bit when buried. infact you can buy it for £180, still got paint on its first bar. not tried the echo

i use these made in uk by nice person, one nearly failed prematurely and he asked for me to send it back so he could examine it, then send me 2 replacements and some freebees and they have been excellent since (he thought exhaust heat had damaged part of it). he was also up for customising them i.e rings, thickness of webbing, length etc and at under £9 a pop can;t go wrong

soon i shall retire my 200t and buy a echo 360, but this makes me think maybe i should get this 2510. or is it just a fantasy that it could do the job of a 200? when i say retire i mean no longer rely on but keep as a backup saw. or wait for this new dolmar top handle

i used a dcs230 with sugi 1.1 10'' bar and didn't find the top handle annoying at all. very hand actually for details etc. not hard on the wrists like using a 200t for carving as your only using it gently anyway.

i stuck a ms150 bar on a makita dcs230, 1.1mm gauge 1/4 chain, big difference from the standard 3/8 lp well worth getting the 1.1 i would say! and the bar mod is a piece of cake!

i got a makita dcs3410 34cc 12'' top handle, in GWO, brand new bar and chain, £150 plus postage gis a pm if your interested! if not hope you find something that suits!

really? surely someone has something to say about them? i have now ordered some so will give you a review wheni have had a good thrash. before the piranha chain ad i bought some archer chain, snapped 2 chains on my 357 18'' .325 before i had had to sharpen them once! hope piranha is better!

i bought one of these for a ms170 that the carb rubbers were knackered. about a year ago and still ok. i chose this one as it is adjustable, but may require some holes drilling in plastic side to get to the adjust. ~£8 is pretty fair for a new carb i reckon
