  1. Do you find that they run better when they're just a touch blunt? Out the box i was sinking a bit too far into poplar etc. Less of an issue now
  2. If you're gaffing out with sharp spikes of whatever length the problem is your technique. You'll be too close to the stem and spiking in at too shallow and angle. You don't need to stamp the spikes in. Try letting your side strop out and leaning back a bit instead of hugging the tree.
  3. Can't believe I'm taking height jokes from a man who's a beard away from being an extra in The Hobbit.
  4. Did the 056 and the 076 share the same piston? If so i can help
  5. What did you pay? What range do you find typical? How does performance compare to the diesel variants?
  6. Anyone used any of the electric small vans? Not really for environmental reasons, i just detest changing gear.
  7. I like the Sip canopy trousers. They used to be good value for money. Cheaper to wear Levis these days.
  8. You're a farm worker who evidently can't run a chainsaw. I'd wind your neck in instead of slagging off regular forum participants.
  9. You seem fragile. Is this your first time on the internet?
  10. If he doesn't like his current rope and wants a thicker one in which the device will work, where is the issue?
  11. You've seemed very willing to on several occasions so far.
  12. Nice work Mike, lovely when you can get the kit to jobs like that. Horrible when you can't.
  13. Pretty savage last couple of days. Big old euc over 2 gardens to handball out. No access for machinery so the skidsteer stayed home for this one. Had to resort to pure graft, which was exactly as gratifying as i imagined it would be. VID-20231010-WA0006.mp4 20231010_115138.mp4 20231010_140724.mp4
  14. How did you mod the 2511 mate? Or did Spud do it? I hear he's a bit workshy these days 🤣
  15. You want some and all? 🤣
  16. It's unfair to assume the lad has a substance abuse issue IMO. He probably just likes the way it smells
  17. No you don't, just buy the 57dl chain for the 161 I run stihl bars and chains on my echo. The panther bars I've had have skates been pretty short lived.
  18. Good job it's not a banable offense or you'd be long gone.
  19. I think you might actually be wrong there, its a rebranded Tsumara i think, which a) is potentially better & b) definitely makes me a virgin for knowing it, if true.
  20. Yup 👍 That's a 25m spider 20221010_090512.mp4
  21. Also the echo doesn't vibrate its engine mount bolts loose causing premature death of the saw, so there's that.
  22. The 2511 dicks all over the stihl. Plastics are fine, any top handle will break its exhaust cover, nature of the the beast. The echo is better designed, has a way better air filter, is lighter smaller and noticeably more power. The downside is that to get the best out of it you have to replace the bar and chain with the stihl version straight away. The earlier models had a few teething issues, the newer ones are bang on. Any saw will only be as good as the maintenance that goes into it though.
