  5. Cheers Steve, needed to turn on daylight saving option on. No weird, it's still an hour ahead:confused1: Sorry but I don't know what I'm doing wrong:blushing:
  6. Just noticed the times of posting is off, needs taking back an hour:001_tongue:
  7. Watched this show the other night and found the machine on youtube, 'Ripsaw mini me'
  8. Great video, although I'm sure it would've got more hits if the title had said 'goes' instead of 'comes'
  9. Hmm, I've also noticed a yellow bar popping up saying 'an additional plug-in is required to display some elements on this page' When I click the install tab nowt happens:thumbdown: I've installed plug-in by clicking the 'problems installing ' tab top right but this yellow bar keeps popping back up.
  10. Hi is anyone else experiencing problems opening and logging in? This keeps popping up- /profile.php?do=dst Could not be Found. Reffering url was http://arbtalk.co.uk/. Browser your using is Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/535.2 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/15.0.874.106 Safari/535.2. When I click to go back it loads up fine:confused1:
  11. Just been searching the web for inspiration and found this.
  12. I forgot to add, it's not that difficult when using those little saw blades. It was pierced right through, I've not tried the paring back technique yet, but I'm off to get some pumpkins today so will have to give it a go. Found this fine example online to raise the bar:001_rolleyes:
  13. Yes got a template off the internet. The supermarkets are selling carving kits for about £2.50 with a book of patterns included. You get a couple of little saws like coping saw blades and a scraper to remove the flesh. I'll post the pattern I used, there's a great one online if you look for it of a drunk pumpkin puking all its seeds out:biggrin:
  14. Sounds great:thumbup: Maybe not for a kiddies party though. Here's one I did last year for my toddlers, not too scary.
  15. Damn, those blinking ents are popping up everywhere!
  16. Could be a sign you're working too hard, stop breathing in those spores amigo:biggrin: Cool face! True bud.
  17. Been a while since I've seen this thread. That's a great one. :laugh1:Interesting additions David, forgive me for not believing you. What program are you playing with?
  18. WOW!!!! That is astonishing:thumbup:
  19. Fairy snuff:001_smile: I was envisioning them set into a rippling stream of twisty limbs and branches.
  20. Really like the salmon:thumbup: Got any shots of them in situ?
  21. Have you had any takers yet Rob? You could try the wood turners group at Caulderstones Park, South Liverpool. They've converted the old boathouse on the lake there, and have 3 or 4 big lathes and quite a few members by the look of it. http://liverpoolculturalchampions.wordpress.com/2010/05/08/merseyside-woodturners-association-calderstones-park/
  22. Fair enough mate, I still may get back to you for one of those adzes though:001_smile: Those cariboo guys make some sweet blades, I've bookmarked a few canadian/american makers in the past (my wish list). If I can find them I'll post them up. Cheers for your time, Si
  23. A seesaw? A surfboard? You could rip down the middle and make a mirror frame maybe. Looks like oak to me too.
  24. Sorry Sean:blushing: Just keeping the sceptics happy, sometimes you can fob them off with techno babble (we know it's really rare chance encounters with spirits of the forests)
