  2. Just wanted to sing spuds praises, he's recently worked his magic for the second time for me. First one was an 066 seize, and the latest was an 010. Been using them all day today and they are faultless. the 010 is a sweet little saw and a real pleasure to use. Cheers again Steve

  6. Cheers everyone, the mist has lifted I had no idea cutters were chrome plated, I thought they were just polished tool steel! I understand the benefits of de-burring edge tools like chisels so I guess it's worth doing the same with chain too. Cheers
  7. Could somebody elaborate on this please, a diagram would be useful. I need to see pictures to get it What /where is this mystical chrome edge on the cutter? Is the burring on the side farthest away from you as you file? Clearly I need to catch up!
  8. They're both great nice form to them. I know what you mean, I've done a few on the drive in the past as they've been too big to move to the back. Certainly got the neighbours attention:laugh1:
  9. Yes rinsing in tomato juice is supposed to kill the smell.
  10. Ha,ha gutted for you! It's a primeval instinct thing hearkening back to when they hunted prey. They are disguising their scent so that prey do not sense them, I reckon they think they'll smell lovely:laugh1:
  11. Broke my big toe years ago helping a mate fill a skip. It was one of the drop down ramp ones, he was inside undoing the retaining bolt on one side and I walked up to undo the other one. Well there wasn't another one and it came crashing down on my foot:001_rolleyes: Still can't bend it properly!
  12. Google Ffwrwm, there's a courtyard full of cool wood sculptures, someone there may want it.
  13. Bit far for me, pity as I used to live in Cardiff. There's a guy in Caerleon who carves big stuff though.
  14. An excellent response to your neighbourly problems:thumbup: I was thinking you could rig it up to a sound system so that it spouts obscenities back at her:biggrin:
  15. No one likes to see fuzzy boobs!
  16. Someone please let me have a go, I'm gagging to do some entish wood spirits in one of these monoliths .
  17. I'm a big fan of carving adzes, one of these days I'm going to get round to make my own big fat gouges chisels out of leaf springs.
  18. That's great Roni, I spotted you were carving there from the online program. What's "ceilidhing" BTW ?
  19. :thumbup:Just signed up Rob Cheers, Si PS Come on people, you get 4 files for the price of 1 and free post too!

  22. That's an interesting idea Rob, is that off the back of a carver? I'd like one but don't think I can wait any longer:001_rolleyes:. I'll settle for one without the markers. Cheers, Si

  24. I haven't read this whole thread 'cos I'm a lazy article but doesn't AT or Steve have these details on every member anyway? Granted it may be wrong for Steve to pass on this private info but maybe AT could arbitrate to settle this issue.
