    I get a bit lost looking at these pumps and things on flowfit online and trying to figure which one I need and how to couple to an engine. I'm thinking for me the best investment maybe a s/h Honda engine power pack, allowing me to run breakers and log splitters etc off the same unit.     I did consider that John. The crane cones in at about 275kg. So I assumed that I'd get away with it if I don't put weight too close to the nose of the trailer when loading.     I have a generator but don't think it has a 12v option. Wouldn't be certain how to mount an engine on the 12 v pump, but will think about it. Any advice on how to go about this? Thanks Sent from my GT-I8190N using Arbtalk mobile app

    So I've started work on mounting a hiab to a trailer. I've successfully mounted the crane and put it to test. Running off the 12v pump in picture. Jump leads to battery. The pump was very hot on the end of shaft in not long. The jump leads started melting in not long. Should the pump get that hot or is there a problem? Is it realistic to run this off 12v or should I buy a power pack with engine to run it off? What's a better set up? I'm new to hydraulics really so it's a learning curve. Also there a leak from the lever control unit. Is it advisable to take this apart myself and try to fit new seals/gaskets or should I get it overhauled professionally? Opinions please.     Looks like a nice enough saw log to me. I it the late in the season for felling, but think you should get away with it. If you want to Mill it leave it sitting somewhere till October for best results, but If you Sent from my GT-I8190N using Arbtalk mobile app

    Alec is about right. Do lots of lime work and the main difficulty is the weather. Don't want hot sun, rain or frost. Did a renovation job once that took nearly two years, job spec was no cement, no rollers for painting etc etc. When it came to pointing the patio the weather was terrible. When in the lock up one day I accidentally spilt and emptied a bag of lime, in the same movement I knocked a bag of white cement over and it neatly filled the lime bag. That did come in useful.     Hi. I'm looking at a trailer for sale on eBay. It's quite old but looks OK for the purposes I need. The seller says it hard to make out the plate but can make out the stamped numbers. They are 780,1094and 3057. Can someone tell me if I'm correct In thinking that 3057 is the gvw, 1094 is the unladen weight and if so what is the 780 likely to mean? Thanks for the help.
