  1. :I have always found that an equipment list on the job sheet works very well, obviously fill it in when pricing the job then when you come to do the work in a few weeks time all you have to do is look at the equipment list. This helps prevent forgetting any tools needed. Hands up who has forgotten tools for a job
  2. If you are wanting to keep them in pots then re-po them into the desired size pot you want them in, this will restrict the root growth therefor restrict the size of the tree. If you are wantingt o plant them in the garden, i would think long and hard about an appropriate site for them taking into consideration the mature size of these tress (dont plant them too close to other trees or buildings) at this hight they will look lost in the middle of the lwan etc but trust me you will be glad you did in 20 years time Good luck with them
  3. Yet another thing id not thought about and a very valid point, so if i go down the schliesing route i dont need to buy a reversing box to fit the chipper on the front? Is this rite? Also what sort of price are the extension shoots?
  4. As above but........ Its still nice to get your feet back on the ground
  5. I will be looking at Schleising, Bandit and Hucks old chipper at Alex Prices although i doubt that one will still be for sale when im ready to buy one, is there anything else you think i need to consider whn looking for a front mount?
  6. I think you"l have to speak to VOSA Someone will be along shortly though with more info im sure
  7. As always still learning! Im glad ive not bought my front mount chipper yet, this is why I rate this site so much, the info is priceless! So huck if im going front mount its either you old one with blower or a schliesling?
  8. Hi mate, im in your situation at the moment too, ask Stevn Blair, he's your man! Mine will be going on a din plate but cantbtell you exactly why
  9. Ill try and help... Firstly you need to work out how much you can get done in 1 day, then, work out how many days it will take to complete the job. Once you have found this figure you need to come up with a cost amount of how much you want to earn per day for doing such a mind dumbing task! Times it by how many days it will take to co plete and hey presto If it were me and i had no overheads I would charge £100 per day, or try and get a bobcat in and use a hire machine, less profit but you will still have a good relationship with your bak at the end of thE job Hope this help matey
  10. I must add that on more than a few occasions when ive been up a tree and having one of those 'if this goes wrong im dead' moments, its been the money on the job thats got me through! What i mean is tht if the job were for free id have cone down and left tge job, but i would have walked away with no money. As i am writing this i am realising that maybe its not been such a good tactic hmmm Time to re-think my game plan
  11. I also have a fear of hitting things or things hitting me in my car on the Mway at 80MPH. Is that what made you buy a Mog :lol:
  12. Mitsubishi are bringing out a 4x4 Canter Fuso, check it out on the net!!!
  13. Maybe so but still an awsome off-roader!
  14. We start at 8am, finish at about 5, lads go home then I either start with paper work or pricing jobs or fixing kit or getting things ready for the next day. My weekends are spent pricing work and if im lucky i sometimes get most of Sunday with the family. I would say that 80% of my money goes back into the business. We all moan about it but if we didnt have it what would we do...? I do it coz i love it
  15. A chipper is th next best bit of kit to a back pack blower! Get one even if you dont have a van, just push it to the job. Id rather push a chipper to and from work than work without one! You know what to do!
  16. ......it doesnt have to be green though
  17. Jeep wrangler 4lt Sahara in green with 33's on her will get you anywhere only landy owners can dream of going........................
  18. Go and see mr bank manager and get a loan for a Mog 1750 with chip box and put a 10" chipper on the front, get a hi-ab tipping grain trailer to tow behind! Then take over the world!
  19. Spend enough on a van so that its not going to break down all the time and leak oil on customers drives and put the rest into getting a small chipper, maybe a timberwolf 150 (6") Dont spend a fortune on a van when you could have had van and chipper for the same price!! Good luck
  20. Can you guess what it is yet....
  21. Love your website mate, think its class! Good job
