  4. I thought id start a thread on 'Overloading' as I own a 3.5 ton Mitsubishi Canter and I went to tip off 3/4 of a load of conifer stems. I have wanted to have my van weighed since I bought it but had never got round to doing so until yesterday!! 3/4 full - 5180kg! Empty - 2880kg (2 men, blower ms650, tool kit, fuel and clean up kit) Im now thinking do I keep running the risk and avoiding VOSA or do I go for something bigger to go about my work legally? Let me have your views and stories...
  5. Hi can anyone shine some light on what weight I can carry LEGALY on a U1500 & a U1600 and I guess a U1650 would have the same payload as a U1600 correct? Just been to see Alex Price & Atkinson Vos and a little confused as they both say completely different things hmmmmm Anyone had any bad dealings with Atkinson Vos? Cheers Chris
  6. Hi mate, as you know im looking for my first Mog, ive been on the phone to AC Price and im off down there tomorrow. He has recommended nothing smaller than a U1600? Whats your views on this? He says any smaller I will struggle in tree work?

I had my eye on a U1500 because of the larger cab - this is true isnt it?

Also, any way of running mogs on red? Or is that just pushing my luck?

    Thanks for your time mate

    Regards

    Chris

  21. Ive got a mitsubishi canter 3.5 tonne, 6ft sides and it holds 10 m3, and its mint for the job, are you just delivering logs? Why not just get an ifor williams tipping trailer with mesh sides and small hi-ab, thats what I would do
  22. Hi mate, try doing your maximum for 1 full rep, then once you have this figure work out what 90% of it is. Then what you need to be doing is work at your 90% figure for 4 sets, you should get 6-8 reps on your first set, then maybe 4-6 on the second same for the 3rd then on the 4th set push out as many reps as possible. Even if you just get 2 thats fine, repeat this every week, do 2 or 3 more chest exercises eg fly's, dumbell presses. Also work at 90% of your 1 rep maximum. This will increase your strength. Supliments to take will be creatine, protein and that should do you, or you could go down the other route which involves injections or tablets... Let me know how you get on If you want any further info just get back to me Regards Chris
