  1. if i could i would buy everything:001_tt2: Getting a job would be more important than everything else! Are you working yet? Get yourself some experience first and then you will know what you need to buy to suit your own way of working. Failing that buy everything
  2. I have never heard of it either, thats why i was asking why Graham thought it was dog damage. Is this a common thing then? in my 20 years on the tools thats the first i have heard of it. Maybe the Neds up here have not needed to get their dogs to attack trees when there are so many people around for them to attack instead:thumbdown:
  3. A case of mistaken identity maybe?
  4. Great photos as ever David:thumbup: That first one if i saw it i would have put down as some insect having done some funky egg laying:001_rolleyes:
  5. like a bunch of old fishwives us lot! Well done it looks like theres plenty more catching up to do than i thought:001_rolleyes:
  6. well thats just piss poor!
  7. Why would dogs do this? i am guessing kids.
  8. Why? Once the branches get out of your reach then hire in a professional or risk a nasty fall from ladders (i hate ladders by the way) If you do insist on doing it yourself from ladders then make sure you and the ladder are secured to the tree.
  9. OOOH OUCH!! that looks nasty! i hope he gets better soon and heals up well.
  10. He did the lunge already thats why i posted the video:biggrin: Welcome Laurent i hope you dont mind that i posted your video i just thought it was cool and there was a good unintentional lunge at the end, which was why i posted it here. Maybe that was a mistake:blushing: we all got a good laugh anyway at marks antics
  11. crap brittle wood being another:001_rolleyes:
  12. How does it slow you down? its only a pain in the ass if your climbing up with it set up then you have to move both flipline and choker. i never have any problems with it and its simple. i like it simples:thumbup1:
  13. i have tears streaming down my face! haha that was fantastic guys
  14. try this one Protect your Income with Income Protect the advert is at the side of this page
  15. Non ho parole:mad:
  16. it doesnt look good:thumbdown: if the damage goes all the way round then the chances are everything above it will die. Keep an eye on it and if the leaves all go brown and dry then its time to get it down quick before bits start falling off it unfortunately. this is called ring barking and sometimes trees can recover from it but i wouldnt hold much hope. Being in school grounds then its best to come down i would say before something falls off it and hits a pupil.
  17. damned good reason better get your finger out then
  18. Thanks Gerrit David is there any reason they are not in the directory?
  19. the more i look at the first pic the more it looks like 2 brackets that have fallen but it didnt look like that when i took the picture i swear:blushing:
  20. no sorry i didnt think to lift it up cos i didnt want to disturb it. I thought it looked like the dog vomit one but it isnt. It was just a mass on the ground with no particular bracket shape to it.
  21. Here is a better shot of the one on the dead laurel branch, there wasnt space for it in previous post.
  22. first one you mean? and yes it is an old one on top of the stump but the spongy dude is different no?
  23. some fungal finds from today first 1 was on a sycamore stump and the second 2 were on the ground beside it, the last 2 were on a dead laurel branch lying on the ground. Sorry no idents cos my memory it terrible for latin names plus i have no idea what the spongy looking character is anyway:blushing:
  24. Few pics from today when i should have been having my lunch but i just cant resist the pull of things more interesting than a cheese and salami roll
