  1. Also good length of rope and a couple of pulleys to pull odd tree if needed.
  2. I am not the only one to mention trailer, so don't just point out what I have said and no one else. You now what business you want to take on and what ground to get across its up to you to decide what you get but £8000 should buy you something decent,
  3. Trailers are the best bit of kit you can have, take up no more room then truck to store, can increase your carrying capacity by 3x depending on truck towing it. You can tow a fair size chipper with average size van and if job is so big will probably have extra drivers available anyway.
  4. Would of thought easy repair for anyone good with spanners, as that engine was fitted to know end of things.
  5. Well yes if they could of back trailer in they would have, lots of places you can push chipper in by hand and not get truck in. Yes it is a good idea, would be interested to know if it got block many times, looks like some thought went in to it with cramp set up at the top.
  6. When you just chuck brash over edge an let gravity take over then put it through chipper.
  7. Six foot tines sticking out the back would certainly draw attention to them to start with,
  8. They got chipper in there so why not get van and trailer.
  9. https://timberwolf-uk.com/about/owners-club/ This one. Also had Christmas card from them for years.
  10. This is not true, if you sign up to owners club you get a phone call about on average every 6 months asking how you are getting on with your chippers no matter how old they are. Got a new greenmech turning up tomorrow will be interesting if I get same service.
  11. Can't see ladder sliding when in bucket, also working on church so vicar is probably said a word for them.
  12. Looks like there front ride on mower wheels, you just need to measure shaft size and order from someone how stocks them.
  13. Keep owner happy and fell it,
  14. Cut on to sheets and put them through chipper.
  15. I reckon he means clippings not chippings
  16. Maybe worth looking at folding corn augers to get some ideas,
  17. Heave can't be your blame, maybe worth taking to how is involved at surgery and explain tree is in a bad state and if it fails it will course more damage than probably the crane, temp roadway would be first option and smallest crane you can get away with. And we all have insurance maybe worth having a word with them about your cover.
  18. Was thinking the same, room to drop why not.
  19. They have been off a week that's all, in 1987 we had no power for 3 weeks managed with rayburn and gas cooker and gas lights. A couple of months ago are power went out so got gas lamp out of shed must be 5 years it was last used lite first time. Made me laugh on the news yesterday some women was complaining about no electric fridge empty no heating and nothing to cook on camera man paned around kitchen at standing in the corner was a gas range cooker.??.
  20. So if you run a big pto chipper on the back of tractor on large site clearance work and no trailer towing and run it on white , what class would tractor come under.
  21. Didn't you get much wind the other day.
  22. Totally agree with handling stuff. Looked at buy secondhand Opico then can across Tobroco Giant and went for their small articulated load which is the same width and lifts more and you are sitting down.
  23. I can't see how those things can be comfortable to drive about must hard on back and knees being chucked about.
  24. So we need to abide by, Tractors and regulatory requirements: a brief guide September 2017 - GOV.UK WWW.GOV.UK Unless they have been updated. Speed is the many thing looking at it with test.
  25. Yes big grey area, but the government has made it easier with stating you must use white so one grey area cleared up. Insurance we sort it and get right cover. Licence well tractor is a tractor and drive it at young age. It will be interesting what the out come will be when all the parts above us all have no idea.
