  2. I am on Essex Suffolk border, go 20 miles up into suffolk but only 8 miles into essex.
  3. Not had much to do with modern Stihl saws, but neighbour asked me to look at his old Stihl 028 wood boss as it wouldn't start, then when I got it started wouldn't idle, turned out diaphragm had layer of fine saw dust on it under cover plate.
  4. I have a flat floor that i sit on my trailer so i can move odd size timber, bags of logs and anything else. But mine isn't a Botex its one i made up. Could you not get a Ally truck body to sit on it and fabricate it to drop in bolster holes.

  6. Just sell hydraulic one and stick a electric winch on it, then you can have a wireless remote control which is great for fell.
  7. And if you like to keep visiting chiropractor.
  8. If you can find a good Husqvarna 362xp it will take a 24inch bar in .325 Rob D supplied mine, you could also run 18 and 15 on that saw. But it's just a matter of finding one.
  9. Essex Suffolk border, started at 10.00 and still raining not looking good for me getting across lawn on Monday.
  10. If it’s 3inch get a digger with shear, cut and stack then chip it leaving a clean site, if you flail it there will be so much cutting laying around.
  11. Had a problem like that with my 18/100 when it had a Kohler engine on charge the fuel filter still made no difference, turned out there was another filter under fuel tank removed that and never had a problem.
  12. Had a pair of the non chainsaw protection around a year. Sizing is on the large side I find most Haix are. They are a heavy boot and a bit pricey.
  13. We have a stockton 4 in a old fire place has less then 100mm around it not blown plaster of yet 12 years on.
  14. Colchester city council change if they come out and inspect tree,
  15. Would not even bother, cost would be great.
  16. Will agree with you about SIP, picked a reduced pair up at local saw shop a couple of years ago.
  17. They are old but take some beating, you just drive over about anything. Spent many days driving through woodland cutting rides back.
  18. Think you will find they made there own, are they are not like any other gearbox,
  19. Were are you based, as I know were there's 2 complete swipes in good condition.
  20. As its a hard drive way you maybe bet with a truck mount one company near me run a isuzu and saw it last year on a drive set up and the front bumper was nearly head hieght.
  21. I have had a spider on slope were the auto level wouldn't level it so had to do it manually. Best bet is if you can dig legs in on the up hill side.
  22. Had someone moan about chipper dust on there car, said I would use blower to remove, they got dry cloths and wiped it over well tried made it worse.
  23. If you are going to use them tapered extractor them don't as bolt is to small you will lock it tighter in hole and maybe brake it in bolt then you will never drill it out. You will be better off using a torx bit out of screw driver set and drive it into small hole.
  24. Never had much luck with stud extractors were you drill a hole. Tack weld a washer then weld nut to washer then just undo it.
