It came off the saw the next night, Rob. It's a 15" bar and its too long for fir and birch snedding work. Plenty of oomph for that size of bar, but once you use a 13" bar for snedding I don't think you look back. Will order a 13" Sugihara from you tonight or tomorrow.

When my old neighbour came round and a bottle was opened the cork was usually thrown out straight away. Don't go expensive too quick Dean. There's loads of good whisky's around the £35 mark. Once you know what sort of whisky you like then go expensive on the similar labels.

The OP is 16 stone and the Max load on a Treemotion is 100kg (15 3/4 stone). Doesn't that make the harness unsuitable for him? -

12 year old Speyside and a 15 year old Glengoyne sat in the cupboard just now. Do prefer the Speyside malts to the Islay ones. Not a fan of tcp. A couple of drops of water are expected to release more of the flavour. Sacrelige is coke or other such mixers. Those are for the blends such as Bells or Famous Grouse. If you're ever up this neck of the woods on a whisky tour give me a shout Dean. Drove past a load of those named today after a callout for a tree over in Dulnain Bridge. Top tip. If you want to avoid the headache, don't drink anything other than whisky on the night.

Are you going to run it for a day on the eco? mode to check the battery life that way? What was the work involved and when did you first have to change the battery?

Picked up my 550xpg today, so the bar you sold me is finally about to see some use. A bit of ignominious firewood ringing, but a good way to run the beast in.

Blowing a hooley up here today. 40-50 just now with higher this afternoon. Binned the climbing work and a chipping job. Dry and bright which makes it frustrating. Quotes and invoices for me this morning.

That's a good point 4x4. I scrape out the bend every 2 months during the winter. -
Green top boots too. Going for nearly 2 years. Not so keen on the style you pictured Comfy enough, but need plenty Gwax to keep the water out. Starting to leak at the sole/upper join. Love them climbing as they're not too bulky, but they are too soft for spikes. Wearing Haix Protector Pro's through the winter, but come the dry weather these will be back on my feet till they burst and then I'll get another pair.

Watched it in the forces. Tosh, paperwork mare. Grabbed by the promotion seekers as a "good idea" to push temselves up the ladder. Eventually died a death and the plaque was taken down. If you can't manage a company without involving this stuff then find another job. -

Problem was Jon I was clearing along the roadside, so enough people able to see it stacking up. Only solution is to drop and sned and then leave as full lengths until just before the forwarder turns up. At least I hope its a solution...... -

Timber fairies made off with nearly 3 ton of birch that I had cut and stacked to 3m lengths. Heavy stuff too, and no sign of cutting. Getting desperate for firewood up here I think. -
7 day working so wouldn't have been an option sadly. Jonesie, can you confirm there's a battery in the box when you buy the saw please? There's no mention on the page that you have to buy the battery separately. What's in the box?

We were clearing a load of branches away from the side of a BT run call centre last week. Within seconds of the saws starting they were outside complaining about the noise. This would have been ideal until it came time for the bigger saws and chipper. I think Stevie Blair mentioned using his battery saw around an old folks home. Just as good next to offices in small business parks and a selling point. Well worth considering I reckon. Thanks for the videos.

We brought our stove into the room using a 90 deg bend. A fireboard seals the fireplace and we tiled it, which acts like a large radiator long after the stove is out. Obviously far more heats stays in the room and we shift it out the living room door with an ecofan. (Which works!) Added bonus with the rear flue is that when we ran out of gas for our hob we just cooked the pots on top of the stove. :-) -
