  1. Pete, my iPad won't work directly from the link, but it will play it through the YouTube app. I've subscribed to Reg's videos and they all play ok that way. Nice video Reg. I was taught the 50% or bit more for felling bare stems when I did cs32. Not really had enough big stuff to put it into practice up the tree, but your comment about chogging bigger lumps makes sense when there is the space. Cheers.
  2. You're a broken record Silky....... So I ordered Blue Tongue today :-)) Cheers bud.

    fuel card

Through the FSB got put on to a fuel card supplier towards the end of last year. Decided to give it a go. Each Friday night the price for the following week came through. And each week the price at the Tesco in Elgin was the same, so no saving using the card. So it stayed in the envelope! Then on Xmas Eve I got a £36 bill for non-use of the card. It's in the small print. Paid the bill, ditched the card.
  4. Mine arrived today too (albeit in the local Post Office as I was late home). Great service guys. I will be using you again, especially at only £4.50 delivery to up here. Cheers!
  5. No, no! I want it tomorrow! It's not that much of a drive if you leave now ;-))
  6. Zigzag ordered online. Thanks for the heads-up. Jim
  7. Like Craig I thought this thread was about something else. Sorry to hear your news. Fight the blasted thing with all your strength Rich and know that we are all behind you.
  8. Maybe some, but it makes the rest of us angry. Bring back the days of only three TV channels. Then crap programmes like this wouldn't get airtime.
  9. Friends son ended up with infections galore and reopened. It was over a month before he could go back to school and another month before he could manage any kind of PE. Take it easy and get well soon.
  10. I had to get glasses for Christmas. Did a tree job in a safari park and they reckon the three legged giraffe will probably survive. Went to Specsavers.
  11. The company I'm with has good spam filtering. Plus you can set your email to reject emails first go. What happens is that a spam mail will not be resent. A genuine one will be automatically resent from their end and your mailbox will then accept it. Only thing that gets through are the African banking begging letters. A couple per week.
  12. Got hold of the Neilmed sinus wash that Taupo mentioned. Tried it last night and had a catarrh-free and snore free night. Stopped using Otravine years ago as I was starting to get frequent bleeds. Plus this stuff doesn't stop you ingesting Malt Scotch. :-) So thanks for the recommend.
  13. Lucky enough to have a dry breezy day. Can't imagine what all you guys down south are suffering.
  14. Photon app at £1.49 on the ipad works OK. Just tested it
  15. Only other thing I could suggest is to try another browser, Chrome or Safari. Unless its a anti-virus or security firewall policy you have running...
  16. Is that an office machine ELG, or your home one? Try re-installing Flash. Only takes a few minutes
  17. Mozilla Firefox (or versions) are web-browsers like Internet Explorer or Google Chrome or Apple's Safari that run on PC's or MAC's. Or tablets too. They have Flash "plug-ins" that allow the chat software to run on them. Unfortunately Apple iphones and ipads don't host Flash at all.
  18. That's a truly outstanding figure so far!
  19. Lucky escape and glad all ok. Never mind the insurance scams though! The important question is what are you going to replace it with?
  20. 200 miles, Jon. But he pops up to this neck of the woods to see relatives.
  21. Happy New Year, Stevie. Expecting wet later. When are we going to see you for a beer?
  22. No snow here Jon. We're on the coast just north of Elgin, about 30 miles east of Inverness. The kids would love snow too, Jon. Off for a walk at Roseisle, a Forestry Commission site next to the beach. Watching the skies darken though.
  23. Blue skies and sunshine to start 2014. Off for a walk this afternoon. Expecting breezy and showers much later though. Happy New Year Jon.
  24. Off till 6th, but need to be working again. Still have a ton of beech out back, so will cut that up today.
  25. Paternal grandfather was in the Royal Signals. Did Africa, Italy, France, Germany. The YMCA they had tea in in Cairo is still there. Got bombed in Caen, we think mistakenly by the RAF (the lines were very fluid then). He died before I was born. Luckily we have all his medals, a tiny Spitfire made out of Messerschmitt plexiglass, and his letters to my grandma. My maternal grandfather was in a reserved occupation in the railways at the Springburn works in Glasgow.
