  1. I'll get on it mate thanks for the heads up:thumbup1: It's a shame you don't feel the same way mate.... The rigging thread?... Yes will get back on it ASAP got loads of photos to sort through and some new ones to add but for now just doing a bit more planning before I put anything on mate:thumbup1:
  2. You leave it this long to make a post and this is all you come up with:biggrin: Missed you Well if that is true what they are saying on there then it's a weight of my shoulders, is it worth making a copy? Would it stand in my defence if I was pulled ?
  3. Nice one mate and nice job too, obvioulsy he mrs wont see that last sentance:biggrin: When you say your not going to use it in all your climbing could you elaborate on it please mate just out of curiosity?
  4. Here we go mate, a normal Blakes hitch with an added pulley for better slack tending, . . Then this is for picture purpose only as using a bina on your friction saver is not very practical neither safe but just to illustrate how a pulley can be added and take out at least 50% of the friction in your system. .
  5. Do you use some kind of friction saver? If not then advancing to something with a pulley in the friction saver can take a lot of heavy loading out on your upper body, you don't have to stop using your Blakes hitch just adding a simple pulley on to your rope under the hitch will make for a good slack tender I'll try and get some picture rolling
  6. To be honest I'm liking both of them will be treating my self to a new helmet soon but which one:confused1: Not to sure about the slide of the muffs on the proto's would love to try on both before I buy, Nigel will you be selling both or just the xtrem?
  7. To be honest mate and I don't mean to sound rude or anything but half hours drive? That's a small area to sub contract don't you think? I'm nationwide but limit myself to 2hours travel time when busy and obviously if there is more than a days work to go past the 2 hour travel time. Again sorry if I come across rude, just a thought though
  8. Thanks Dan, The repeating was my thoughts exactly, just thought it would be a good idea to create a thread and try and avoid to many threads, I do appreciate that making a thread of there own could be better for them in a way that the answers they get will be dedicated to there question, but once its rolling hopefully the thread will have most questions covered for the above:thumbup1:
  9. Just lately there seems to be a few threads started by beginners and climbers who are taking there climbing a step further, so thought it would be a great idea to put together a thread dedicated to helping these lads out, not really got much planned as in picture/video format but was just going to leave it open to lads who want to ask questions regarding getting started or wanting move into different climbing styles, different gear and so on, my first thing is to try and get a few climbers on here to help out we're they can! Good idea or not? Thanks in advance Adam
  10. They may look pricey mate but you get what you pay for in a silky, long run silky hands down.....
  11. I know how you felt mate trust me you'll love it weird at first but it come to you and when it does it feels so natural
  12. What a horrible place to work..... looked like a right dive:laugh1: Great stuff mate.....
  13. Having 2 of these on a pole dismantle would be great SRT 1 for a base tie with rescue option then a 2nd as a chocked tie in point. with this option you could speed the up the rescue but only having the rescue climber removing the casualties spikes and strop, although it would need a 3rd groundsman but still very effective. Even when the rescue is not needed the top chocked tie in point I feel would be a great adjustable and safer benefit than just chocking the rope on the stem. In the interests of Kevin's answer to his question, I feel I maybe purchasing a few of these, would also make some great energy absorbing redirects to, Is it possible or safe to use knots straight to the snake anchor spacers instead of a bina? To remove hardware on base anchors I'm thinking:001_smile:
  14. Haha looks like they got you by your high balls Ali
  15. Go for it mate the skylotec is the best harness out there IMO and I've used a few, there nothing like a pretzl very comfy and versatile, loads freedom and tons of security
  16. Nice one mate great stuff, and welcome to the forum look forward to seeing some of your experiences pictures of work that is :sneaky:
  17. I was going to get one a couple years back but never really see the need as I had an art cambium saver, then bought the dmm pulley saver, now working SRT I can really see this coming in handy, thanks for the post and great video,
  18. Just thought tapatalk was not the only forum app!
