  1. Straight out the box this saw ran amazingly, used it a handful of times now, only because it's not my saw, but it's defiantly a winner in my eyes. The balance is spot on and the weight is great, power??? Well what can I say?? its a husky!!! It Sinks it's self in an don't stop unless you do. Cracking saw and nothing more I can say. It runs circles around the 201T...Only time will tell to see if it's man enough to compete with the infamous 200T...
  2. Are you sure mate?? i got a petzl oxan with mine!!!
  3. Nice work Stephen, never used a bottle jack to fell before, but then again I've only really just started to fell trees instead of climbing Sounds like a logical idea on the plate rich
  4. Today's job An mostly relaxing haha!!
  5. I see it to Rich Thanks for the insight python, very interesting
  6. It's buy one get one free at co op at the minute mate
  7. Not really mate. It can actually be better for the saw, why would it scare you?? You wouldn't use it any different buddy??
  8. Probably a little early yet but out of curiosity!!! Has anyone ported or had one ported yet??
  9. Left this till this morning to watch so I could watch it on the tv great video Tim, very smooth, loved the thumbs up from everyone on the ready, rigging control was on the ball. Thanks for taking the time buddy Just out of curiosity though, do you always start with a medium saw up the tree? Adam
  10. One from earlier in the week.
  11. I had a golf, best car I ever had if I'm honest. Apart from the wearing parts including the clutch I never had one problem with it on the 6 years and 175000 miles
  12. First day using one, love it so far. I agree with the chain though, it just feels like it's had the edge taken off it! Might be because I have the more aggressive full chisel in my 200t. Well balanced, light, and it's defiantly got the power. I'll keep you posted when I use it again
  13. Fair points mate, it was produced as a beginners guide and didn't expect some more experienced guys to enjoy it as much. As for going into detail I've already said I was limited to a certain number of words so wanted to keep things simple. One thing I would of like to go more into is the science of it all but it seems little people don't care about that. As for the miss configured equipment?? Could you please elaborate!! Adam
  14. To be honest mate, I'd start of with the wrench, because for a start it's cheaper and if you don't like it then you've not wasted a lot of money and a wrench In my opinion would be easier to sell.
  15. Yeah if you've got the money to but a rope stitching machine
  16. No need to apologies Margaret, I hope all is well. No rush in the PDF also, I've been meaning to subscribe for ages now just not had time Take care Adam
  17. I think drew stitched that because it's dynamic rope which in turn can't be spliced mate
  18. Groundys are always busy doing nothing so gave up that idea way back, a little grab and 16oz throw back does the trick...
  19. I've never had a problem getting the HH and it's hitch dialed in, I've tried about 9/10 different cords and they've all worked very well. What cord are you using at the minute and what hitch?
  20. Thanks for the heads up And glad you liked it Nathan. It really is not an easy thing to do writing an article on such a complexed practice, there's loads missing but to really get the basics and making it easy and chatty to read was a right mission. I've not seen it myself yet so feed back would be grateful, what ever it is Adam
  21. The hole marks talking about is not on the new ones so can't be done, I've not had a good look at one yet so can't comment
  22. Enjoyed that, thanks for posting, be sure to try again if you get chance Adam
  23. Are you like me and take it off nearly every time to alternate where the friction hits? I've noticed I get a good 3/4 weeks more or so out a length doing that.
  24. Give 4 wraps on 8mm a try Al, every cord I've tried it with in 8mm has been fantastic
