  1. This one wouldn't keep still for five minutes but managed to get a good one before he took off .
  2. Berry nice mate, he looked like a bit of a poser
  3. Very very happy with it mate, does exactly what I want and with comfort as well
  4. Bump!!! Just in case someone missed my last post on the connecto's
  5. Come on guys not long now!! Get them up...
  6. Thanks David I'll give it a whirl tomorrow Out of curiosity have you tried adding a foot loop onto the HH also in tether mode? Like a frog walk system.
  7. Yes and they have also survived many of millions of years without us removing this deadwood!! I have standards mate including the removal of a dead branch
  8. Because the debate is not about a silky pole saw its about the power pole pruners!! Just because you use a Manuel pole saw in the tree didn't make you lazy!! It's about working smart not hard!! If the climber feels it's more safer or easier and can make a good clean target cut then why not?? I once see a picture on Facebook!! Now without mentioning names there was a mass argument about how unsafe it was using the silky pole saw in the tree the way he/she was!! I think the main excuse that was given was because it was wet!! But it looked a relatively easy climb up to get the deadwood but he chose the pole saw!! Nothing wrong with it until your cutting stuff right above your head???? Very unsafe and very lazy IMO.
  9. That is a beaut mate, what was it having done?
  10. Bang on old bean Right come on you miserable lot get going
  11. So about this time of year someone comes up with a ridiculous game to get everyone smiling and happy and just generally pass 5 minutes away!! So here's a little pictionary kind of game! The aim is to guess the Arbtalker buy firstly drawing one picture and then adding a photo. They don't have to specifically be bang on but that's the fun involved... So too start I'll give you a nice easy one.. So here's my drawing And here's my photo!! Come on get drawing you bunch of monkeys ya!!!
  12. I got my 60m from FR jones mate well Johny walker did for me
  13. Liking that second foot ascender, the ascent in the video looked smooth as! Great for long ascents. I've been foot locking a lot lately and advancing the hitchhiker manually, it's ok but because the HH system is short you can only make short runs!! I did see someone attach an extra length/tether to the HH and back to the harness and advance it that way which would be miles better!! Just not efficient in small ascents. Ft ascender and Hand holds is more effective like that!!
  14. Ben Saxon pointed this out to me earlier and not seen anything on here yet so thought if share in here! Thanks Ben http://www.edelrid.de/en/SERVICE/Warning/
  15. You can clearly see there's an access rope, you can make out each climbers hand ascender just above them!!! And don't worry about sharing that photo!! It's done the rounds thousands of time.. Still as epic as it was when I first see it
  16. So today I had the greatest of privileges as I was working at Mr Rooney's house! He thought it would be funny if he dressed as a gorilla
  17. The question is not about the saw but where is the hinge?
  18. Absolutely bang on! I've never had to use a silky pole saw in the tree either!! Most deadwood's are specific any way! Well mainly for me so the wood coming out is of a specific diameter which unless the tips have died back then most of the specified wood is no more the a few feet out! Never struggled and thought that a pole saw of any description would of been handy. Well as of yet anyway
  19. Mmmmm! Really can't see why he would refuse that!! hahaha!!!
