  1. So the last 3 jobs away I've got to have a play with the 150, first impression was amazing light to handle, incredibly light to climb with and even with a 12" or a 10" bar on they still rip through the wood! Albeit you have to let the saw do the work but it's beauty takes away what it lacks in power... Not only is it all the above it really feels robust.. Don't think I ever want prune another tree with a 200t or similar again!! Couple of niggly things about it but liveable, well it won't put me of from buying one anyway! But the lanyard ring is horizontal kind of annoying when you use a crab like I do to hook it on your harness! Takes a little getting used to. And another slightly annoying thing is the little choke lever! I had it pushed into choke a couple times leading to it flooding itself... I really am impressed with it on the whole and as the 200t is still working I may just purchase one of these before I get the T540xp and use it just for reduction work!!!
  2. First pictures awesome mate.. How long till your back mate?
  3. Here's mind if you really want to see it https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10203146324048642
  4. Yes it's not the game to blame though!! People can be as responsible as they want!! Free will and all that!! Up to the person doing the nomination to be responsible not an idiot!! And the pint doesn't have to be alcohol it can be water!! Coke! Or milk ect!! I was nominated and chose to do something daft!! But that's just me!! Each to there own I guess
  5. It's a new one mate, can you not remove some of the core on airline to do it buddy? Sad or skilled tommy haaaaa
  6. Spliced my zing-it throw line this morning.. Thanks to tommy b for the inspiration
  7. You either love em or hate them!! Come on get your selfies up from the tops of those trees
  8. No I broke it tapping the wedge in!! Some gubber broke it and didn't tell me!! I finished the wedge off buy the head and piece of shaft left over
  9. I find it can be a little temperamental more so on take downs when rigging and the saw is of for a few minutes at a time and yes you have to keep cold starting it! Not tried the primer yet but will give that a shot!! I just put it down to its Cooling ability and auto tune.. I'll let you know what I find out mate
  10. Cold start could be the auto tune! They do take a lot of getting used to.
  11. Only triggers broom consisted of 2 replaceable parts Great episode that though mate
  12. Fair dues buddy, the T540 is a great saw and mechanically so is the 201 I just feel the 540 will take more through time
  13. It's not just me though is it mate?? Funny coming from a guy who only changed to the husky because his 201 was stolen!!! Or was there another reason for the change?
  14. This is princess my 14 year old 200T!! It was one of the first ones out to come with the quick release fuel caps!! It's been well looked after daily checks, weekly Maintained, and it gets a good service from my local dealer every 12 months, fuel filter air filter ect. It's had 4 bars in this time and countless chains. It had one big overhaul 2 years ago with a new carb and a new chain break gearing. I self ported it last year and it's an absolute animal... As you can see by the photo it is being rapped by the husky T540xp and having used that saw quite a few times now and being very impressed with it I will defiantly replace princess with one when the sad day comes along!! The 201 didn't do it for me, not so much the running of it but just the cosmetics.. It's to fragile and that's coming from a guy who looks after his baby's!!! I must have seen at least 30 pictures of the broken handles and having actually broken one myself believe this to be the reduced weight and cost issues of all new stihl products!! I said this a year before they released the T540 "they can't afford to fail this time" and guess what?? They most defiantly haven't... Sorry to all you stihl fans but and to those who haven't yet had any problems with the 201 but husky is now king!! And unless stihl sort there act out or bring back an Eco friendly version of the 200t!! then I'm afraid it will be for quite some time..
  15. Wow!! Didn't expect that as a reply!! Nice one mate, looking forward to seeing more of your work 👍
  16. Yeah!! And that's why you want me in 2 days for some chestnut reductions hey mate?
  17. Wonder if he makes it back with his wallet?? That was bad I remember mate but sorry your link doesn't work my end?? Lol
  18. Don't worry I confuse myself somedays mate
  19. I wasn't aware there was a new one either lol, not sure why I put that to be honest????
  20. Great photos mate it is a Shame your a little late though buddy
  21. I don't care to be honest! I'd rather turn down several customers to work on what they want!! than I would do what they want and have a potential few hundred clients see the tree on there way to where ever it is there going day in day out!!
  22. Agree mate but my explanation was towards the new double plate!! I've not met a grcs owner who's used the bollard yet!!
  23. I don't think you should be loading both together!!! The way it's set in the picture looks to be correct then after you have used and got the tension you need from the winch then the wraps are removed from the winch and put solely to the bollard!!
  24. I'm a freelance climber and work a lot of the uk mainly lincolnshire and surrounding counties.. When working to spec reductions there are no just a bit mores!!! There are no can I just have six more feet out the top... It's done to spec and that's that!!! I've worked for and been asked to do round overs like yours many times before and my simple reply is... "Sorry but think you've got the wrong climber for this job!!" I've walked away from a few sites and contractors and will stick by my word when I say "I have standards!!!" To say there's more work in a few years time is because of the way you did the tree is cowboyish unprofessional and down right insulting to the forum IMHO!!
