  1. You keep saying reduction? But there are no growth points!! It's more like a round over and one that may cause more money being spent from both parties in the near future.. Sometimes less really is more...
  2. My arborwear ascender pants are all I wear while pruning!! (Long johns underneath if it's cold!) They've been up a fair few trees since I got them at jonies show and there's not one bit of damage or wear to them... Would defiantly recommend them
  3. I'm glad you remember Ian!!! Must of been quick!! 😁😳😂
  4. There on hold at the minute mate but I'll keep you all in the loop as soon as I can. Thanks Adam.
  5. Well if Al cormack would like to make a donation to the raffle and send me his address details by pm, I'll send the book out to you my friend, the only one to reply
  6. Ok I've spoken to Drew and he's told me not to send it to him as he thinks the postage will cost a fortune. So! He's suggested that if someone where to give a kind donation to the Xmas raffle then I'll send them the book... Sooooooo! If you would like the book and would like to give a donation then please PM me with the word "rigging" then at 12 tonight if there's more than one person I'll give you all a number and get drew to choose one at random seems logic and fair to me
  7. So 2nd best for me is David's fracture rigging photo, it's cool to see rigging used to create something we mostly try to avoid doing very nice set of photos David thanks for sharing . And 1st place is without a doubt is Drew bristow's heli rigging photo. A well captured photo by epic proportions. Thanks for putting them up mate. . PM me your address and I'll get the book sent out to you bro
  8. So in 8th place we have dexta's photo of the rigging from ground view, quality photo and a perspective we rarely get to see In 7th place was this cracking shot from Al cormacks team. Great timing In 6th place is Tony W's crane picture, there were a few crane pictures on here but this one kind of did it for me.. Great effort In 5th place was josharbs speedline, for me personally I think it's a great knowledge to have in the bag of tricks for any climber, weather it's a full blown setup or just a simple zip line.., and produces great photos So in no particular order I thought both of these photos deserved either 4th and 3rd place some great action shots from both benn and John, big timber being rigged in 2 different ways but producing the same image from 2 different perspectives... Awesome shots guys Which brings me to the final 2 photos from David and drew.... Who will be the winner.... I'll reveal all after my dinner!! Well done everyone else it really is nice to see such an array of great photos
  9. To be honest mate it's nice to see so many pictures it's generated. The forum is alive and kicking again in my eyes. Is nice to be apart of it still after nearly 3 years happy new year to you guys

  14. Haaaaaa! I was giggling out loud and Alex was going "what" "what" "WHAT YOU LAUGHING AT" she didn't find it funny though.. Made me snort like a pig haaa!
  15. Is that blue polypropylene? If so your a legend ace photo
  16. Wow I'm so jealous, that is with out a doubt the best name I've heard!! EVER!!! I want it...
  17. Yes you can sort a lot of Messing around out on the floor with the throw line which is how I mostly work
  18. Hey bro, There's are not great pictures but I'll try and explain best I can. When using redirects always try and keep your angles on return as vertical as possible, last thing you want is to go through a crotch redirect at a tight angle. It will make an unpleasant and a dam hard return. In this picture I've gone on a limb walk and dropped through the crotch, ignore the orange arrow for now! The pink arrow is pointing out the angle of return, although not to bad as I could easy get near it push my foot into the crotch and use my hand and foot ascender to push my way though.. Not great but it works. The other option if available would be to put in a false redirect (sling/bina) somewhere directly above wher you want to drop through. This is where the orange arrow is pointing. Now I have place a false redirect in I can now descend into the crotch and come back through with any struggle at all. When using redirects natural or false, try and keep the angles flowing evenly through out the tree to make your return trip as easy as possible You may find that if you base anchor then you may not have to return on the last decent so keep all the redirects natural and aligned for a nice smooth rope retrieval If you go our on a limb walk and are struggling then try to remember to set this up before you go!!! It'll give you a nice mechanical advantage on the way back in Hope this helps you out a little mate
