Good stuff Nathan, yes there's been a few deaths and injuries all very sad indeed. What's happening in the first picture mate? Hard to see but looks like a hanger?

That's a great effort mate but I've got that beat Huge spruce this morning. Needed rigging down but forgot my spikes... There wasn't more than an inch between the chipper and gate.. Bit of a back lean over a motorway and some huge voltage power lines. Here have a look for yourself's Even Reg would of been proud of that

Technically speaking because it's not CE mark then the loler inspector can't rightfully loler it. I do know of some that will but when all said and done it means nothing. Lolered or not -

Regardless of wether it would take your weight or not or if it's even designed for rigging. It's completely irrelevant and doesn't comply with the industries best practice on working at heights. Although in a real world scenario it's deemed unsuitable to use the rigging equipment in an Ariel rescue attempt. But if it helped out you clearly would. Arrr!! what I'm I talking about the HH it's self ain't even CE marked lol.. Just putting it out there that's all mate

Only had this one to deal with and that was on Friday, probably the biggest mass Robinia I've had to deal with. No arial pictures as I was trying to get it down in good time so snapped a few shots where I could when I came down to help chip up The first picture of the crack you could fit 3 fingers in it horizontal, when the weight was removed you could only fit one in!! I fitted the 10ton ratchet strap to help support it then rigged up a couple of blocks and tied the main stem of to support an weight change. And just knocked it out in very large bits. Would of felled it but it wouldn't fit anywhere Around about 55ft tall but a good 80/90ft spread on her, approximately 3-4ft dia base All wood left on site and took a good 3t of chip away.

Need more than a day to get me up there mate, I'd drink what I earn before I leave haaaa! Have spoken to Chris briefly on Facebook about a couple of days up there but we will see what pans out would be nice though

My last pair of zermatts lasted me 3 and 1/2 years, I bought a pair of Mindel airstreams a month or so ago and I wish I had Gond for another pair of zermatts. Don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with the mindels there a nice boot but not a patch on the pfanners

I love my cut and climb jacket but I wouldn't go as far as to say it's the best! It certainly keeps you dry that's for sure. but as an all out work jacket then no you get too hot too quick and sweat, they don't take five minutes to dry out mind but I'm still searching for the best all rounder

That will be the hitch hiker mate, the gold aluminium centre piece acts as a heat sink to disperse the heat
