  1. that crow is a classic matt, looks like he's got his chest out saying "you talking to me" in a Robert de niro accent from the film taxi. whats the butterfly in the first pic ?
  2. that annoying yank accent happens to be a very well respected arbtalker and a friend of mine to mr taylor hamel, don't see why this is an issue anyway:thumbdown: retrieving the pulley saver with a throw line is good practice but also personnel preference to if you want to waste money dropping expensive gear on what ever ground your on... or put your life at risk with hairline fractures sorry for being blunt
  3. Hi mate, yeah been thinking that to buddy, the only thing i don't like about the 395xp is the chain break is only fixed one side, not sure that this would be an issue but looks a bit breakable the 390xp would be nice and like you say good power to weight ratio compared to the 395xp but the MS660 is and has always been a favourite of mine and looks awesome to. think i've made my mind up thanks to LORRY.
  4. nasty nasty, happens when its hot like Monday, pile cream is also good for sores and burns ect,ect........ and know i don't have piles.....
  5. hell yeah, love it how a saw like that can just make you smile:biggrin:
  6. just checked jones mate and its close all the way 28" bar on husky £805 and 660 with 30" £835.80 now all i gotta do is decide which was looks the sexiest
  7. love that moth david that was awesome, andy you have a weird fetish mate with moth porn:blushing: love the stag beetle matt, nice finch too:thumbup:
  8. how can you compare that to a husky 372xp yeah not to keen on the 441 either lorry but with you all the way on the 372xp..can't decide with the 390-395xp or i just might get a ms660 need to get the climbing saw sorted first though the 200t is slowly dying
  9. i'm running the Marlow green fleck bull-rope at this present time and can't fault it but always been a big fan of Yale Double Esterlon.
  10. yeah thats an idea my old firm use to say they would beat any written quote. you never know with joe puplic they do try these things on.
  11. my old boss had some cards made up a whole stack of them so they must of been for real but he had call him self chainsaw Nick and then listed the usual stuff which was ok i guess but then...........he went to the extreme and had things on it like.... tigers wrestled crocodiles teeth pulled pretty girls chaperoned jesus i cried with laughter when i first see them, but now thinking about it, it makes me cringe to think he was giving them out. sorry. usual really Safe sectional dismantling felling crown thinning Deadwood crown raising crown reduction wildlife habitats stump grinding tree planting pollards/coppicing and if your qualified tree reports. so on so on. or just keep it simple
  12. i know its been a while i didn't realise someone had asked a question sorry ben. the saw is awesome can't fault it in anyway even up the tree its response is second to none glad i made the choice hope its not to late and you have bought something else. gonna try out the 390xp next or the 395xp any thoughts everyone?
  13. good idea mate and for a great charity, my best friend is in the marines just finished his 9th year there and he has seen the worst, Hellish comes to mind. i'd travel for it mate. keep us all posted:thumbup::thumbup:
  14. sorry mate maybe your right didn't see your post but that would make complete sense. its load cap in a straight line would be 2ton and around a structure would be 4ton nice one CS:thumbup: :001_rolleyes:FOR ME
  15. gestrekte is dutch for stretched which would make sense as before things break they stretch but then i got lost at rond because that means around so thats thrown a ???? any ideas anyone
  16. it works out on a 100:1 from daN to kN so..... 10daN would be 0.1kN on your ticket it has something before the daN ratings i would guess the L/C would stand for load capacity and as the ratchet is part of the webbing theres one L/C .......2000daN = 20kN two L/C ........4000daN = 40kN so its both of what ever they are, are running just over 2ton and 4ton:thumbup:
  17. hi mate hows the trailer doing?

hope you well and busy buddy!

  18. thats the funniest thing i,ve seen for ages....... sorry mate hope all is well and he has a speedy recovery
  19. a fairly common metric unit of force equal to 10 newtons. The dekanewton is equal to 1 megadyne, to 1.019 716 kilograms of force (kgf) or kiloponds (kp), to 2.248 09 pounds of force (lbf), and to 72.3301 poundals. In engineering, the dekanewton is a convenient substitute for the kilogram of force or kilopond, since it is nearly equal to those units. i cheated
  20. tried looking for this device everywhere Rupe but only came across a couple of other forum mentions but nothing to go on then i found this..... The Haultz Lowering Device's limb-lowering technology generates friction without rope twist kinking the tail of the lowering line, allowing crews to work safer and faster, increasing productivity and profits. Designed by Carl Halas, Certified Arborist, the Haultz offers more than 180 degrees of movement from the mounting plate without binding the rope, and allows rigging with two ropes on one lowering device. This reduces the load at the rigging....... it won't let me open the rest of the post as its says the web address has been removed. really interesting to see why it never took off. also read the first post by the guy who developed and built the wraptor before he put it into production pretty cool.
  21. looks like a triceratops dinosaur
  22. cool that looks awesome anyway of finding out why they never did rupe, who was the people who designed it.?
