  1. Was going to see how much it was on the reel, then if you wasn't going to use it all I might of had a length off you.
  2. Will you be using it all tom?
  3. Why does that still justify cutting anywhere near your legs?? I watched myself with much interest whist climbing anything once! Just to see how many times I cut near my legs. My findings helped me decide that being cooler out weighed being cut on my legs because "A" I don't cut near my legs and "B" I have never even nicked any of my leggings with a saw in over 18 years now. Like Peter says if you can fully justify why your wearing A's then there should be no reason why it should be deemed unsafe.
  4. It's not about using the saw near the backs of your legs mate, although it is a point. But all round protection was designed to help stop saws from dragging and turning the trousers around on your legs to the point it would cut through the non protection part. My point is your more than likely to encounter this through snedding brash on the floor so I can't see why type C's are recommended for climbing only!!!!
  5. To be fair all round protection has one massive advantage to fronts only. That reason is not justified for just climbing in my opinion. It's a silly idea to think a saw would pull the trousers round to the none protective area whilst climbing only!! In fact your more likely to experience this while snedding brash/trees on the floor!
  6. Lol no I've had them for a couple weeks now..
  7. I've been wearing type A's now for 3 years or so, before then was always type C's. I've just purchased these engelbert Strauss leggings which are very comfy.
  8. I remember RobD posting that a couple years back. Always makes me laugh very true to say the least though
  9. Haha! I like to know who I'm talking to and a real name does just that. More professional in my opinion. I can't get my head around all the tree this tree that names! I know a few that's not tree related but jeeeezzz lol how may climber bob's do we need

  17. I travel all over the UK mate, my iPhone has never gotten me lost yet Gets me to the front door of work sites on most occasions or within a few ft
  18. That's a decent sized length mate. Obviously I'm referring to the line I suppose it's wise not to over due the length you place it up the line. One more question. I take it your still able to cut the bollard into the tree without interfering with the winch placement? Thanks again reg
  19. That really does look a great piece of kit for the money Reg. Very well put together video too What length of line comes with the winch just out of curiosity?
  20. When I was young my parents couldn't afford Easter eggs so they used to hide bits of ham around the house. I remember the pork hunts very fondly.
