  1. Little bit of messing about at the cutters this weekend and me and BenR came up with this choked top tie. Enjoy
  2. Some clips I did of the bone just to show how smooth its functions really are. Thanks to terry Banyard for filming the self tend and Ryan mills for the slack tending. And also Ian flatters for the video bomb
  3. Na I know your fighting background Uni??? Haha different pedigree mate. The uni is a mechanical device that's no where near like a hitch! The bone is the closest you'll ever get to a hitch in a mechanical form. IMO the bone is the best climbing device experience I've ever had.
  4. Me and Ben had thought about raping john in the night and stealing his bone! (Bulldog) I love it and want one so bad! Just funds are short and priorities and all that!! Just think about little old me when your using it and I'm stuck on the wrench or uni haha
  5. Haha Gordon you may get a flooding of emails coming through asking to buy the BDB! Sorry if it will be inconvenient to you but we've had much interest for it over the weekend. Massive thanks to rich and john for bringing them down for us to play with. I'm so sold its just beautiful!
  6. Little short one but great to see old faces and new faces. Sorry if I seemed a little ignorant I was just so busy getting round to everyone. I'll post a few pics later but for now! What a weekend
  7. Thanks to rich and john I've had my first go in a simulated work climb on the bulldog bone! It seriously is the best mechanical hitch I've ever used! Great stuff Gordon.
  8. Yes mate most of my ring slings are on deadeyes, this not also allows me to use hitches to attach on stems ect but it allows me to move them about if I need to direct the line somewhere else.
  9. No mate, they all have the SWL limits the beast rings are what I use for blocking down.
  10. It's been about a lot of years mate, I remember my old man and his mate mesmerising me with a bowline quick tie. That was cool. I was shown this by a climber back in 98 at one of the Arb shows. Then I mesmerised my dad with it. Great for those cold hand moments. As for the history of it I couldn't tell you mate. Name? Just another way to tie an alpine sorry I can't help anymore mate. But well discovered
  11. No worries mate, if your thinking of buying them then I suggest a couple or at least the triple sling, using just one ring at the main anchor point isn't really good due to the bend radios, you can cancel the radios out if you have a couple of single rings buy spreading them about to create better angles for the rope
  12. To appreciate what they are capable of then defiantly splice mate, I wouldn't recommend knots!! Just out of curiosity why would you only rig small stuff on them?
  13. Looking like it's going to be the best one this year looking forward to it
  14. Haaaaaaaaa! The huckster has a huge point there mate
  15. That's not she told me!! Don't worry though I'll be sniffing them! Sicko!
  16. Your obviously or have been in the same situation mate, and feel my pain! I've said to her it makes me feel special but she won't have any of it!
  17. If I wanted to look good then I'd wear what I wear at night! Not sure my wife would be to pleased about it though!!!
  18. I'm so looking forward to the cutters and climbers so much more now
  19. I ain't forgot neither! And no there's only 1 person that's allowed Ddrt this year everyone else is SRT
  20. Yes mate it's been covered in the first few posts, the thing with the pinto spacer is wear, if you don't or the pinto does not turn then being aluminium can cause wear very quickly. This causes uneven turning and eventually becomes worst than just running of the steel bina. It's a cool idea but maybe a stainless version would be better IMO
