Yes from a distance it's hard to see if the bina is cross loaded or if the gate is rubbing against the stem. For a quick and up close attachment point I see nothing wrong. But I defiantly wouldn't suggest it as a main anchor. -

Nigel fletcher said my new (1day old) Stein phantoms would take a few days to bed in, then they would feel like slippers! They already do feel like slippers. Wore my mindels out just after a year!! Won't be buying another pair of them!! Loved my pfanner Zermatts though they where still comfy after 3 years. -

Girth hitches are ok if you have a supple rope mate. Also if you get the bunny eared alpine small then it can be cinched to smaller diameter branches rather than a long leftover piece from the single alpine. Much much neater like this -
