  1. He was actually on his way to a Masquerade ball dressed as a fool. We actually call them folks over here Scabs, since we have more respect for our Cowboys over here. easy-lift guy
  2. Sounds like your over here in my neck of the woods?, on Holiday? Hope your having a nice time otherwise. easy-lift guy
  3. Ian, thanks for sharing typical American attitude towards keeping trees away from HTL. Completely avoidable and when the show was finally over I am sure there were many folks without power for sometime due to the stupidity of the utility company for ever allowing a tree to be so close to the lines. This was and is no accident, just plain stupidity. easy-lift guy
  4. The juices from this plant are extremely alkaline:thumbdown:, if you ever encounter this material in the future you need to alter the ph. ASAP. I recommend if handy using citrus juice say from a lemon or lime if there are any near by, the Acid will counter act the juices and balance the ph to normal pretty quick. Usually no blisters or scaring afterwards as well, as long as treatment follows contact fast.. Make sure you also have a fresh change of clothes for afterwards. easy-lift guy
  5. We have similar reactions to Brazilian pepper trees over here in Florida, same family as Poison Ivey, and the mango tree as well. The pitch or sap go's right through most clothing. You have to hope that your not allergic otherwise you may end up in the hospital. Not the best way to spend the day outside to work. easy-lift guy
  6. Regardless which make and model consider a Easy-Lift Harness. Yes it is an investment and you will get done faster and feel better after using it compared to working without. There are numerous members that use this product and are very pleased and only wish they had purchased one sooner. Good Hunting. easy-lift guy
  7. Thanks Gibbon, perhaps they blended in so well with the native population no one knew who or where they were from. easy-lift guy
  8. Well put:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
  9. You are a kind person willing to help out people, who through no fault of their own have many challenges to deal with on a daily basis. You are not ready for the loony bin, however you are preparing your self to be far better prepared to handle the future and the unknown. Your numerous acts of kindness will continue to keep yourself well grounded and on the straight and narrow. After all ,you have created a bond with these folks that only some can understand and regrettably fewer can appreciate. Continue to do what you can, I am sure they are more greatful than words can describe. easy-lift guy
  10. Your right, we can't get them all but we still need the practice so there won't be as many coming over to kill us and even you, if given the chance. easy-lift guy
  11. Many Happy Returns, Rob. easy-lift guy
  12. I find your reply really interesting. So 4 years ago two of your mates decided to travel across Afghanistan and had no trouble at all:sneaky2:. Now I would really like to believe that your Two friends actually "trecked across" Afghanistan but I believe there are very strong travel restrictions for Non-military personel through out the entire country. I believe that is also for citizens of the UK as well. Of all the troops I have spoke to here State side I have never heard of any civilians being permitted to travel with out some form of excort either by the host country or a stationed Military partner, ie. NATO or US Military. So if what your friends say is true how did they do it?, why was the locals not interested in a couple of tourist passing through?. I am sure that any number of groups would have been interested including the ones presently on a daily basis trying to kill most Westerners:thumbdown:. easy-lift guy
  13. OBL was in Pakistan for most of the time he was on the run staying at I believe at least 12 different safe houses, and with 4 wifes and time to father two kids during this time he seemed to manage fairly well. As long as he could continue to pay off the elected officials in both Afghanistan/Pakistan he was fine. Them pesky Predator drones came in and started to wipe out his top aides and support and Pakistan was being served noticed that it would no longer be business as usuall. Mike I do concure that both countries are very strategic and have been for some time, who will be in charge after the dust has settled is the big question:sneaky2: easy-lift guy
  14. Dean, we have them here as well. Our best control is controlling the food supply. Usually we use an insecticide like Talstar to kill the grubs or if you ave mole crickets it works on them as well. A granular application may be your best bet with a cyclone spreader or the like. easy-lift guy
  15. To late Tom, Ben was first followed by treequip than you and now me:sneaky2:. This has been going on State side since 9-11 to the present. Some aspects of the Patriot act in this country have been helpful, IMO, however still other provisions are surely unconstitutional. With great power comes great responsibility, Ben Parker easy-lift guy
  16. Good stuff!. Always keep him reaching for the stars, with a solid foundation. easy-lift guy
  17. As a ground dweller I commend your ingenuity and if it works for you even better! easy-lift guy
  18. It is April 1st you know! easy-lift guy
  19. Since we have a year round growing season here I say we put our tools thru Twice as much wear, tear as yins do. It also depends on how well you take care of your tools as well. Just visiting the US site for Corona, the BP 7100 looks to be a good choice and @ $35.00 priced is good as well. I still use my model 60 from 20+ years ago except the cost than was $12.95:sneaky2:. Good hunting. easy-lift guy
  20. Regrettably jammy I believe your purchase falls under the class of planned marketing and obsolescence . It seems that I see this at many trade show here in the States every year. If I see the same make and model of a hand tool for more than 2 years in a row, I am lucky. Seems that the dealers over here don't like to show the time and tested models as much as the new fangled models that are new, and that's about it:sneaky2: easy-lift guy
  21. With a proper case and a bit of common sense you should have no problems. There are many cases on the market, I use the Otterbox and it suits my needs well, Skull candy ear bus work well and are comfortable as well. easy-lift guy
  22. This week Blackberry announced it will be dropping out of the consumer end of the smart phone business here in the States, translation we surrender and what are your terms! I also heard that 1/2 of all households now own,use Apple products in the USA as well. You could continue to use Blackberry products, however I believe they have lost their competive edge some time ago, and will not catch up with Apple, IMO . Good hunting. easy-lift guy
  23. I have used both Felco and Corona, like Corona since they hold up better and don't gum up as much as the Felco brand. Corona or nothing at all. easy-lift guy
  24. May God rest his soul and comfort his family at this very hard time. easy-lift guy
  25. Society is not in the baby sitting business. Choices are made every day good or bad, if one makes enough bad choices sooner or later it catches up with you. Same thing with good choices!. If you choose to not learn from making bad choices that is also a choice. If one chooses to remain in a holding pattern and blame society for not caring enough or at all that is up to that person, not society. easy-lift guy
