  4. Might I suggest a book titled, An Illustrated guide to pruning. By Doctor Ed Gilman. The Second addition is currently available at Amazon.com $74.44. I would hold out for the 3rd addition due out in August also from Amazon.com I am not sure about the price but the book has a fair amount of pictures and illustrations. I know Doctor Gilman and he is tops in his field. I hope this helps. Good reading. elg
  5. All kidding aside your suggest could really help overall. How can the members further your suggestion or Quest to having this become a reality? elg
  6. Interesting Suggestion. With cut backs also affecting permit approval here as well I believe if something like this was suggested to out local county officials they would complain and say we don't have enough staff or we need to do a study or nice idea will get back to you. All Three answers are more than likely what would happen. I know they don't make any sense, most people in government check in sense much less Common sense shortly after they start working for the Government. Keep trying. elg

  12. Thats weird it must be the time of year since my friend in the plumbing business has been receiving the same types of phone call regarding ads run in Yellow Pages Direct?. Of course he never subscribed to such a service but they are convinced that he had and he owes them $$$ when he asked how much and from when to when, they just hung up. Working both sides of the pond these days at once. elg
  13. If it looks like a duck and reads like a duck and sounds like a duck it really is not a japa Processor, but could still be a duck! elg
  14. The day I become dependent upon someone else or an organization to collect from a customer for services rendered would be the last day I would ever work for myself. Unions for the most part are for persons who can not or will not depend on them self's to get their collective jobs done. Here in the states Unions by in large have been infiltrated by Communist ready, willing and able to do what ever it takes and more to increase membership and destroy private industry or anyone else in it path. Why would anyone be willing to pay an organization anything to represent them self's for the sake of belonging is a sad state of affairs to say the least. I have family members here in the states that belong to a Union and they are MISERABLE. I warned them about 10 years ago that when the government jobs ran out there would be a high price to pay. They did not choose wisely and are in a very bad way presently. Even if they could find any private work for income and the Union found out they would be shut down at once and investigated for their actions against the union. BTW, they would also have to wait 60, 90, or up to 120 days to get paid as well from their union jobs. Just remember Unions do not represent their members they represent the union. Fortunately here in the states Unions are in decline and I hope will continue to do so. If you can not or will not work for yourself work for someone else or move to Sweden and try setting up shop there, I am sure they need more union members to baby sit. elg

  16. LogBaron, Did you have a work order prepared and signed off by the client?., If you did don't waste any more additional emotional Capital with this person or her husban, excuses are like arse holes and it sounds like they have Two for each. The price is not up for discussion. You are Professional, don't let these types take advantage of you. Put them in their place, Pronto!. Otherwise SUE THEM and recover all of your cost and expenses. Have a nice day! elg

  20. Actually if she has had any landscape design experience she should have no problem with a plan view or elevation type drawing for her clients. At least here in the states we were required to be able to draw both for our class completion, yes I did pass. elg
