  1. [quote=jltree;1087113 Any damage or wear on orange plant you get a big bill.. Nearly as bad as beaver plant!! Well yes, I would expect to be charged for damaging hired in machines, unless I took out an insurance policy to cover it. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  2. Don't worry, I took no notice of those silly posts. I'll be calling soon. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  3. I had a U1200. Parts are very easy to obtain. A good Ag mechanic can deal with it easily and a good mechanic who's used to working on HGV and Plant will figure it out quickly.
  4. Definitely photo shop. If it was real there would be a curtain of very substantial roots all the way down the walls and into the ground.
  5. The best way to make those long haul ascents is a Rope Wrench above the ZZ. Then you can do the whole job SRWP and it's less effort all round. 😘 Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  6. Has anyone hired a large grinder from Orange Plant? What condition was it in? I've hired a chipper from another place recently and the condition was desperate. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  7. I bought a tripod ladder from them once, I received good advice on the phone and it arrived promptly. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  8. Yes, hahaha! I did look at those but didn't ink it was a professional option and way too much hassle.
  9. Thanks Redmoose. I thought that place had closed down. I'll try calling tomorrow.
  10. Yes that was a guy in France I think. The kit is French and it's only cost effective if you have loads of spare time. Why would you need a loader if you have plenty of time though??
  11. I guess all the London operators keep their tip sites as closely guarded secrets.
  12. I know the one Rich. It's next to Biggin Hill Airport. Thanks.
  13. What machine have you got?
  14. I was looking at the Avant website and the smallest articulated machine is 990 wide so it won't fit through a stupid English garden gate! A skid steer for domestic arb work would be a worry because of lawn damage, I think. Carrying ply boards around is a hassle and more weight. http://avant.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Avant-Tecno-400-series-brochure.pdf I just noticed that you can get a brilliant log grab to go on with forks! I wonder what these things cost?
  15. Saron Ward on here climbs for me and recently got a ZK1 with the Honey Bros tether. He found it too long with a HC pulley but then changed to a Pinto pulley and it was all a good length and in a straight line. 11.7mm rope will be good for tending.
  16. Ah yes, that makes sense now. I had wondered the same thing about Petzl, DMM, ISC etc. It would be a product that could be used in mountaineering as well as rope access industries. Having said that, It may not work well when coated with ice on a winter mountain route.
  17. I have a job in Merton so I'm trying to find the closest tip site. The closest I've found so far is Epsom. Thanks.
  18. Was that a new or used machine Dean? Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  19. I corresponded with Stan and he was extremely helpful. Sadly, I just don't need a vehicle like this and so I can't buy one. Boo! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  20. That is the best pickup truck on the planet. When I worked on movie sets in Namibia and S Africa everyone wanted to drive the really old Landcruisers. No one wanted to drive the brand new Defenders! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  21. Erm, what about the Unicender, Hitch Hiker and Rope Runner? Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  22. Exactly and we as armchair experts should refrain from 'speculating' on this subject when we have no knowledge or evidence at all.
  23. That's not funny Mark and usually you are funny in an intelligent way.
  24. It was £80 for the day. It would lift 2t (without the boom out) and cos it's articulated it caused no lawn damage at all, and i really mean none. There was minor scuffing on the really steep part of the garden where we had to shuffle the machine but otherwise it was awesome.
