  1. Thanks Rumination. The only thing that puts me off about you design is the piece of elastic. When it's clipped to the back of my harness when I'm working I can see it getting caught on things and twanging my arse, really badly. The HAAS has the elastic internally.
  2. On a serious note, I was looking at the HAAS threads on The Treehouse just a few days ago. There are no UK dealers for it so I could make my own except I can't splice and I wouldn't have clue how to get the bungee inside the rope. This later part is surely done with real magic. Any ideas chaps? Thanks.
  3. Brilliant!
  4. I have top handled saws then 560xp & MS361 then 395XP. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  5. That's nuthin Mark. I did a sycamore that was double that! Felled it straight into the truck and drove out by lunch time. It was too big to get a photo, obviously. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  6. Yep, was a good four days and good to meet Paul at last. A bunch of nice easy jobs with Silky The Northern Arb Trolley and a bunch of beer every evening. A winning combo! Anyway, I've got a frantic evening of invoicing, hiding the empty beer cans and filling the fridge with real food before the family get back in the morning! Cheers Paul. Drive safely. 10. That's what I do all the time now. I usually just use a clove hitch and it saves carrying slings & biners all the time. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  11. What tether do you use? Thanks. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  12. We got invited to a BBQ last night. Great food and plenty of booze. Being a Northerner, unaccustomed to the Southern heat and brutal work pace, Silky couldn't handle it and was almost asleep in his sausages! Only kidding. It was a great day all round.
  13. Paul's working with me for four days now and he's introduced me to Jonny's videos. Brilliant! After dismantling a BIG Thuja today we had to dig out two Metposts from an old fence. They were real sods to get out the clay but then Jonny's words of wisdom rang in our ears: "If in doubt, get the f***ing blower out!" And hey presto, they popped out the ground.
  14. Silky Alonso Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  15. He means Lower Beeding just south of Horsham.
  16. Oh don't worry James, I know everything there is to know about delegation and time management. My wife manages to spend all her time delegating everything in my direction!

  21. Thanks David. The strangest thing is that it was only in one small part of the tree, about 2ft. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  22. I've never seen it that colour before. Plus, it was only coming out if one ring. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  23. Cut down a Eucalyptus and an hour later noticed this oozing out. It's bright red and looks just like blood. I've never seen anything like it. Any ideas? Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  24. The view from my bedroom window as the sun creeps round the corner. Lovely day to be tree climbing! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
