  1. Here it is before: Here it is during: Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  2. Genius. Thankfully it's of no use to me otherwise I'd be clicking on Paypal already!
  3. The tree is in Reigate, Surrey and has a DBH of 4ft. It will be in 6ft lengths and I can load it on Monday or load yourself later. If you would like it call me on 07834 414271 or pm me. Thanks
  4. On Monday I will have the trunk of a Giant Redwood in Reigate Surrey. It will be in 6ft lengths because it has to come through a 6ft gap. The tree has a DBH of approx 4ft. I can load it for you if you collect on Monday or load yourself for collection later. Call Al on 07834 414271. Thanks.
  5. You'd be 'crazy' to get one. Hyper expensive when they go wrong. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  6. Maybe a silly question but why is it elastic and not cord? Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  7. A full can of Stella won't work for Mr Bolam 'cos he'll drink the Stella before he gets his harness on! Hahaha! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  8. I can only imagine its the rope at fault Mark. If you've paid attention to your leg/foot position and angles then there is nothing else. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  9. Sorry, I did suspect but its hard to tell in text. Some people would have written that seriously. 😂😂😂 Hahahaha! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  10. I used to get it badly. Then I changed from a Prussik to a Lockjack with friction saver. The tennis elbow cleared up within a week. After eight years it started to come back but I happened to change to an SRWP system and the elbow cleared up but more significantly, so did my back problems. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  11. Several years ago in a town near here some Council workers were sent out to plant Daff bulbs on roundabouts on busy roads. In the spring the flowers came up spelling WA*K*RS. Sorry for the derail.
  12. If you lived down here Amy I'd probably offer you a good job because girls generally don't grow macho egos like dumb blokes do.
  13. That's exactly what happens most of the time. Either that or they grow an ego.
  14. SRWP climbers use one rope and a lanyard. DdRT climbers use one rope and a lanyard. The difference being a different hitch device. How is one more lethal than the other?
  15. T14, I would dispose of the chest loop karab or the brass snap because it makes the whole thing very long.
  16. I've been using one since they became available and really like it. At fisrt I mounted it as it's supposed to be but then cut a hole and rotated it and found that it is much smoother, as you can see in the picture Silky posted above. It's not completely perfect solution but for me, it's a lot lot better than not having one. Well worth the money.
  17. I tried that first Ger but there isn't enough bungee available to lift the Croll.
  18. I use a Lyon sling with tool clip as a chest loop. I clip this to the loop I have put on the HH Oxan and I use this for ascending more efficiently, even on small ascents. With the HAAS, I pass the bungee inside my harness bridge and clip it to the Lyon sling. I have changed the brass snap for a snap gate binder to make it easy to clip onto the Lyon. I won't be climbing again until Thursday next week so I'll try and get a photo then.
  19. Yes but is there any work for you? Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  20. Actually what we use are still dynamic ropes but they are less stretchy than rock climbing ropes. Access industry use smaller diameter ropes because they are lighter and minimal stretch (or static) because working on the side of a 150m building on a stretchy rope is really hard work. As arborists we are theoretically likely to experience a fall and a dynamic rope helps absorb energy, reducing stresses on the body. If you're climbing 100m Eucalyptus then get a minimal stretch rope but climbing in the UK on our relatively small trees, a dynamic rope is exactly what you want. If you're using a HC system then a 13mm rope would probably shut you very well John because 13mm is easy to grip. 11.7mm ropes are popular because they flow through Spiderjacks etc easily. I would avoid Imori because although it feels nice and soft, it's a bitch when wet. The guys that are currently on HC systems can offer advice on which 13mm rope is most popular. 21. Arbrep services. He's a Predator dealer and service boffin. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  22. Brilliant! Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  23. I have installed a Pinto pulley on the top of the Oxan, under the HH. OMG the HH now tends as smoothly as a HC which makes it perfect in my opinion. Any pulley of similar design will do the job just as well and it's probably the most worthwhile upgrade I've made to any piece of kit. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
  24. It's designed to fit through a gateway though, which it does very well. Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
