  1. What chest harness are you using and what friction device? Thanks.
  2. You're only taking a risk if you DON'T buy an Echo tool!
  3. That's what I wanted to say Ben but didn't feel I should as I haven't owned a RR or used it for an adequate time period to judge.
  4. Basically I got a price from someone that I regarded to be a bit steep and thought I could save money by doing elements of the job myself. HUGE mistake! Never again.
  5. Dave, you know I had a really bad experience with this same issue early this year so you should have called me before you started chipping.
  6. Is there still no one on the horizon with equipment and in need of more work.
  7. To compare the RR to the BDB is tricky as they are quite different devices. Same principle but operate and feel quite different. The BDB appears to be the favourite by a long stretch.
  8. Looks like a 2510 as well. How do you have one already? Where's mine?! Lol!
  9. Alright alright. You don't need to say it eight times! Haha!
  10. How much money did they spend on development of the t540xp and 560xp then? About £8.50 I reckon because mine was shite after a few months. How do you know it's good? Let us guess, you work for Husqvarna but probably indirectly.
  11. I did a course years ago and we were shown case studies where water content had been measured on fallen branches and on the renaming stub as well as other parts of the tree. It had been a fairly invasive study but revealed very compelling evidence.
  12. I'm a nutshell, that's what I'm referring to.
  13. That's right and it pops off and gets lost forever. Just like the cover that covers the top of the saw under the top handle.
  14. Crikey! That customer doesn't deserve to own such a fine tool. He should only be permitted a Stihl! Lol!
  15. Any saw can and will get fine dust in to the carb if the filter isn't cleaned often enough. Regularity of cleaning is dictated by the type of filter not "it never 'appened on me other saw, innit!" Your dealer right about finer dust due to blunt chain and/or depth gauge height.
  16. I try not to think about it but if I get nervous I tuck it into my t-shirt. It has the company logo on it so it must be a safety t-shirt!
  17. Neck loop with BDB. Swingdude chestie with HH.
  18. What you talking about Mike?! My Unimog produced much worse smoke than that all the time and it ran fine. Well, no power, massive oil consumption, stinking......... Hahaha!
  19. All due respect Mike, I think you should stop being a skinflint with this idea. In the long run, you'd be wise to replace your Unimog wheels with proper metal ones, not wooden! Lol!
  20. Don't listen to MattyF. Buying a Big Shot solves the throwline issue! Lol!
  21. Ventilation is better than sealing all the moisture inside an airtight bag so that your gear is guaranteed to get mouldy, carabiners seize up etc. As temperatures and atmospheric pressure changes, the gear inside will dry slightly because the air pressure inside the bag is different to the pressure outside. If you have an airtight bag with your wet gear inside, the bag just gets bigger.
  22. Many 'Arb' bags advertise as being waterproof. Dumbest idea ever!
