  1. Alloy baslins for me, had them nearly 10 years. Changed the pads and gaffs once.
  2. Been up an oak at Dinefwr park in Llandelio, Wales not far away from that height. Have to measure it when I'm next there.
  3. Got caught by one of the camera vans doing 37 in a 30 a few weeks back. Just been on the speed awareness course, £85 and 4 hours in a classroom between 2pm and 6pm, had a early start at work to get the job done, went straight to the course and no points. Seemed fair to me and the course reminded me of a few things we quickly all forget about day to day driving.

  5. Hi all, Anyone else noticed that the Petzl tool clips are not as strong as they used to be. I had one for ages, that broke and i'm on my third this year ! Sorry for what maybe a bit of a boring thread !

  9. I was talking to a guy the other day and his firm (25 members of staff) has made the guys sign a form saying that it was unpractical for the firm to monitor HAV risks and basically they werent interested. How do the big employers go about recording / managing HAV ?

  11. Hi all, Does anyone on here work for any companies full time PAYE but have to use their own saws ? I've heard of a firm that says that they dont supply saws and you have to use your own. Is there any rules regarding this ? Thanks for any info
  12. David, Theres not many threads on arbtalk that i read from start to last post but i have this one, excellent work and very interesting. Wish i worked for more clients that would allow me to manage trees in such condition instead of just wanting a complete removal most of the time.
  13. Hi Littletree, I was traveling down the M4 to London friday evening and i'm sorry to say but your chipper stood out like a sore thumb, even though you had put it behind the container a bit. Whenever i have had to leave my machine anywhere like that i have taken 5 minutes to take the discharge chute off and put a tarp over the machine so it does'nt look like a chipper quite as much if that makes sense. Sorry to hear about the damage though.

  21. Yer he must be joking. £500 all in is what i've been told. Fr jones had power head only for £360 ish + vat a while back so thats why i have not jumped at the one i've been offered. I've got a boxed new one spare already but after havibg a go with a 201 i'm tempted to get a second.
