  1. same as hay from 2011 harvest.... 2009 and 2010 was very dry and yields down so you could ask what you wanted for a small bale.. every spare bit of grass was made into hay last harvest and market is now flooded... doesnt effect us as we supply our regular customers with little left over but the hay/straw dealers all say no trade at all for hay... straw still keeps going up and up bit like cordwood..
  2. call me on 07767480117 have several diff options and prices for you.

  7. if its around london not in london i can collect it as long as theres access for artic and theres enough there to make it worth the diesel.. 10 tonish..
  8. the 6910 was the best tractor of its time.. and many farmers are still trying to find late low houred ones to replace the not so reliable 30 series
  9. glad to hear there still holding there money.. mines a 96 model with full ag spec and i paid 29k for it and a 10 inch greenmech over 8 yrs ago... mines now got a 3 yr old front mount schliesing on.. and if i was to sell it i'd be over moon with 30k for both..
  10. thats exactly how i've bought it before.. although they measure the bays on the trailer then take 50% off for air gaps.. my cousin just bought 4 artic loads ash that was roadside.. they measured the stack and took 45% off for gaps..
  11. yeah.. easy.. get 3 bays of 3.4's or had two bays of 5.5 before...
  12. can supply the 900 tons no problem depending what your looking for.. would take at least 3 weeks to bring it in... would be price per load as thats how i buy it... unless its pure beech or oak... call me i've pm'd you my no..

  18. was on my way down M4 in artic this morning to pick load wood up and take to new forest when vosa decided to check me out... first time i've ever been pulled over by them and have to say it really wasnt that bad.. told me off for not filling my tacho's in properly.. cleared several questions up that i had re drivers hours.. breaks etc.. checked lorry and trailer over.. gave me a GV9 for front indicator not working [which meant couldnt drive lorry away till fixed] lucky it was only a bulb... took 45 mins in total and i was on my way.. never checked diesel tank or asked a single question about my restricted o license... they have a job to do and were very helpful...
  19. the cental boiler from america is the one we bought.. mate mine who also has a stove shop is importing and selling them.. we're gonna heat 4 houses with our one and get big fat cheque every quarter from government for the privilege.. he has 2 boilers already installed and swears by them
  20. as long as you have a full lorry load then no problems.... if i was selling my birch alder oak mix thats been cut and stacked for a yr then the price per ton would scare most people off.. but when they realise that the trailer is full to the brim for a certain amount then there happy...
  21. whats your post code and i'll give you a price for a load.. i no i quoted you for haulage before but that was from guildford which is quite way from me in wrong direction.. i have wood on M4... took 2 loads yesterday to south wales.
  22. yeah.. they all take anything from 45% to 50% off for air gaps...
  23. i've done 2 loads to south wales today of birch/alder/oak that was cut a year ago... had 4 x 2.4m bays on.. loaded to top of pins and above [wasnt too worried about height as no low bridges on route] and most i had on was 23ton.... did load ash/hornbeam in 3m lengths the other day so only got 3 bays on but loaded to top of pins and that weighed 26 ton... even though the overall load was 0.6m shorter than other 2 obviously lot heavier as its fresh felled...
