  2. i paid 3 grand for our 02 plate transit 4 yrs ago this jan coming... offered £2800 for it last week.... i'd say if it sold for 2500 be at least 3500 time it gets to its final destination...

  12. we parked combine up for week to get our hay finished and started on 230 acres spring barley on monday.. after a puncture on thurs morn which lost us 3-4 hrs and hour breakdown yesterday then rained off at 4,30pm its left us with 30acres to cut... without that we'd a been finished.... our old 1994 TX34 has cut over 900 acres this yr... she'll go another season yet..
  13. to be honest we're in lucky position where our cereal's is only part of our harvest... we do nearly as many acres hay as we do arable and for us the hay is worth double money per acre than crops... and unbelievably we've had some good hay this yr...we did our last 80 acres on tues... haylage is another product from grass we rent which we have good market for... and small bale straw is in class of its own and this yr has more than made up the loss per acre on crops compared with previous yrs.. with the artic being used this harvest for first time its doubled the money per ton of straw delivered compared with price ex field and has shown very good profit even after diesel... lot better than cordwood i add without sitting on the crane in pouring rain and freezing conditions whilst loadin and unloading... our wheats and barleys havent been that bad this yr.. winter barley yielded 2.5 ton acre instead of 2.8-3.. and wheats 2.5 instead of 3... some near us havent achieved a ton per acre... but as said i put lot time and effort into placing all our straw before it was harvested which has made very big diff on per acre profit...
  14. hello mate... can get what ever you want.. you name it i'll get you a price....
  15. girlfriend has F8YE P on Q7 and my landcruiser has P19UGH [what with me being a farmer]
  16. that time yr again.. only day or so harvesting to finish and 10 days autumn drilling then stepframe straw trailer off the unit and timber trailer back on... so get your orders in for quality artic trailer loads hardwood/softwood cord [some part seasoned]... can deliver anywhere if your prepared to pay haulage rate...
  17. i have a U1600 with front mount schliesing 12inch chipper... it goes out for £350 day with one operator who works as ground worker time he's there.... theres not much call for it to be honest.. problem is people dont appreciate how much it can chip in a day.. they compare it to a 6inch timberwolf they can hire from our local hire shop for 100 quid day...

  20. this time yr i'm out door by 5.30am and not intill midnight.. and thats an early finish.. i'm inearly tonight as my big baler broke down at 7 tonight... end last week had 8 hrs sleep in 3 days.. you get used to little sleep in my experience.. when i get in i cant get to bed for at least an hour.... my head is still going 100 mile hour...
  21. we reguarly go well over 20 miles from base... 4 loads at time on transit... dont think you can tell the customer your charging extra for delivery just price the load accordingly...
  22. hi there.. depending how soon you want this done i could do it..

  23. i could shift fair bit but not for month or so till i've finished harvest/autumn drilling etc.. lorry is out moving straw every day...
  24. i sell artic loads cord at 5%.. as long as its for their own use they could have as much as they want
  25. to be honest theres always some little job needs doing on unit or timber trailer so kills 2 birds with one stone.. he'll do bulker while i wait which is the one that never gets used then i go back and hook timber trailer on and leave it with him rest day with unit... but got another 45ft flat mega trailer now so gonna be difficult doing them all in day...
